Please refer http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/announ...-team-bhp.html to upload pictures. I suppose you are referring to Team-bhp watermark which will be taken care of automatically. Actual photos would help us in understanding the cause/precautionary methods etc.
Thanks

This is such a gruesome sight. I wonder if there is any other place on earth where the roads are more dangerous. We seem to be topping all the wrong lists - Corruption, Accidents, Poverty, Population...
And the worrying part is this does not seem to caution or even register on the mango man - we always think, This cannot happen to us

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

This happened yesterday when a bus collided with a truck and feel on a puddle. The place is near my home. All of the passengers have been rescued with the help of the local people. Both the drivers of the bus and the truck is critical.

The pictures of dashboard and fuel tank flap suggest that it was not a Dzire. Looks like Hyundai i10.

Good catch! The steel rim covers also look like an i10.

You guys are right, I didn't pay much attention on the pictures since the stuck occupants were visible in the few pictures. I just wrote what was written in the news article. Damn media, never investigate enough before publishing the news.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Yet another accident involving children, this time in Kothamangalam, Kerala. A tree fell on top of a school bus today, killing 5 kids. This heartbreaking accident happened only a few hours back (I think the trip back from school to home).

Report in Malayalam (with a pic): http://www.manoramaonline.com/news/j...amangalam.html

Seems like the powers-that-be ignored complaints about the dangerously leaning tree in the route.

Accidents in general are bad events; but when they revolve around children, my heart aches. Such accidents make me wonder whether even the best automobile manufacturers consider toughening the roofs of cars in the best possible manner. I know a tree falling may not be withstood by any roof as of today. But all of them focus on lateral safety on the road - front, back and nowadays sideways with introduction of lane departure warning and stuff like that.

Hope to see a day when they realize that roofs of all passenger vehicles also need to be tough protective shields.

Most civilized countries have found a far more cost effective way of doing what you are hoping for - they prune their roadside trees so that there is seldom a danger of a tree/branch falling on a car/bus!
Regrettably, it is only in India we see such gruesome accidents on a near daily basis. This is the corruption index. Driving licences can be purchased, and, at best, there is no standard testing protocol!

Looks like they would have had to try quite hard to do that!

Hmm, I'm a tad confused too but I think the rear axle got detached from the chassis and led to the accident.
