That's a Karunagapally registered vehicle. Looks like the stretch between Karunagapally and Kayamkulam on NH-47.

Any other news on that? Hope the occupants are safe!

Latest I heard was that one person didn't make it and the other is in hospital.

If people cannot understand the cons of high speed, no amount of advise will penetrate into their grey matter.
It is better if the manufacturers stop producing such bikes. At least the fatalities involving such bikes will come down.
Sir, I would like to add my 2 cents here. It is not just the "high end" bikes . Underage college kids are more than capable of popping wheelies and stoppies on ordinary honda activas and dios on public roads . Now , willthe ban of "high end" vehicles have any effect on them ?

Saw this XUV accident Iive at Mangalore yesterday night around 23:30 - 00:00 near Diner's Paradise restaurant.

Could not make out if the driver was drunk. Police arrived within no time (not sure if they were patrolling around that place).
Did not see anyone injured.

This guy missed my car by few meter's.
Crossed over the divider, pulled down a lamp post, went on other side of the road and finally landed on the divider again.. Before coming to halt.

Did you sudden brake by any chance? Were you driving slow in the left most lane? Did you get off the car and checkout the accident or you simply sped away?

Along with couple of other cars, I had parked near the restaurant. Since the restaurant was giving take away only, I was waiting in my car. I did go to the spot to check the status. As I mentioned earlier, By then lots of people and cops had gathered. Also I did not see anyone injured / serious. So left the place.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Today morning on my way to office, I saw this truck resting on its sides.

Accidents in India | Pics & Videos-tbhp.jpg

Its on the entry Ramp to the NECE road on the Kanakapura Road from Bengaluru going towards Hosur Road side.
Looks like the driver made the left turn a little too fast. Only a spirited driver or a driver on spirits can cause accidents like this

Because of this, the entry lane to the NECE road from Kanakapura side to Hosur road side is closed.
This may lead to slow moving traffic at this junction later in the day.

OT: It was my first time with a DVR dashcam and I'm impressed with the picture quality

Got the source of these pics. It's from a Facebook post by a gentleman named Sam Nazee.

... it was a night drive, this happened due to bright light disturbance from opposite side.. this car was in a normal speed and driver with seat belt couldn't seen the road bend and car gone stright to a tree on road side...
SWIFT DESIRE full option with two airbags, ABS...
And it indeed is a Swift Dzire ZDi, as the DDiS moniker can be made out, and so do the alloys - only the Z variants come with alloys in Dzire.

The post further goes on to appeal everyone to switch to low beams and be considerate to others especially at night. In a country where the law enforces pay scant regard to this very basic courtesy, it's too much to ask. Hope this accident would enlighten at least a few drivers if not all of them on the road.

Self-driving rental cars + irresponsible/immature drivers = perfect combination of disaster waiting to happen

Totally agree with you, i have seen so many Zoomcars being driven very rashly and on top of it, Zoomcar has opted for so many non abs cars in its fleet to save money on initial investment, customer only has to pay 5000 deductible and people drive like maniacs. Zoomcar Scorpio does not have ABS, even Figo does not come with it.

I had recently rented a XUV from Zoom and the tyres on that car were totally bald , i had written a stern mail to Zoom that it was a disaster waiting to happen with a high set car like XUV, uploading an image of the racing slicks on XUV i rented

Exactly what I thought. 13 in a car? And pretty much all Zoom Cars I have seen are really rashly driven. I see them racing in the city (yes, Bangalore!), cannot imagine what might happen on the highways.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Sad, the concept of Zoom cars is great but am not sure how well it would work in this country, am sure many who are not used/good to drive cars will rent the car and misuse it!

A month back when i drove to Bangalore via madikeri, i came across many "zoom" cars esp XUV and Scorpio which were driver very rashly and many of the cars were packed....
