Well, it has happened near my place. The ill fated bus had started from here on way to Delhi. Now comes some interesting facts :-

1. The bus was registered in UP and had a tourist permit and was not allowed to ply as a regular passenger service. But another report states that the number plate itself was fake. https://www.jagran.com/bihar/patna-c...-17907452.html

2. It seems there were NO deaths! There are conflicting reports. Police is investigating as of now. http://indianexpress.com/article/ind...-modi-5163048/

Attitude to loading is the same, whether a truck or a bike.... If it fits, load it. What happens down the road is not considered.

I keep one of those hammers to hand in the car. It has a seat belt cutter as well. Whether or not I would have the presence of mind to use it properly under water is another thing. I can't swim... It would be like walking a high plank to escape a burning building. My fear of death could end up killing me.

It appears that the car was moved with handbrake, and realising that, the driver should have released the hand brake without accounting for the build up in engine revvs.

I think the driver just gunned it by accident instead of pressing the brake. It's the only explanation for how the car lurched forward near the bump and straight into the bus.

Are those tinted glasses I am seeing? If so they may have hinder his visibility. Still, crossing a road without any look out is sheer stupidity and suicide. Luckily for others it was a bus he rammed into and not a 2 wheeler otherwise innocent people would be paying the price for his idiocy.

As I mentioned, there was a man inside the car. I received some scary snaps of this burnt car with burnt corpse of driver in driver seat. I don't want to share those snaps.

A Scorpio EX and a Ford Endeavor 3.2 had a head-on. I am surprised by the way the Scorpio has held up against the Ford.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Not sure if anyone noticed, but an HPCL tanker tried to take the small Vashi creek bridge and ripped the height restriction barrier. The truck's cabin was smashed, but thankfully nothing from the tanker spilled. The height barrier was ripped off.

I was driving so couldn't take a snap. I hope the occupants of the truck are unhurt.

Seems to be this one in news here from Business Standard
Business Standard

Most of the time we fit after market accessories like seat covers, roof liners, LED lights, floor mats, third party remote locking and parking sensors. Most of the non OEM items are not tested to be fire retardants and can easily cause this kind of a mishap from any short circuit. I wonder why he could not manage to get out in time before the flames reached this level of intensity!

Yes. That's the news. The car belongs to some Mr Desai as per Praivahan app.

Mod note: Pictures removed as they're not appropriate for an open forum.
