The "Victim" seems to be overtaking from the left without a functional or a very dim tail lamp compared to the other bikes overtaking from the right.

Uber and Ola drivers regularly do this and put the car in neutral. The concept that a modern car shuts off the fuel when the foot is off the gas pedal does not exist. Ironically in neutral the fuel supply will be kept on to keep the engine idling. Technically not achieving anything out of this other than severely reduced braking power.

I think there are other culprits in the video. The car which took the right turn (there is no right turn sign where the incident happened)

Saving grace is the car and another biker behind the car have their right indicators on.

He was flung scraping sideways the wall.

In the second incident, he seemed to be looking at his phone and missed the divider, the bus driver popped his head out looking at him and he actually waved his hand up to acknowledge his fault not to blame the driver.

I am not sure if this is off topic (given I could not take a pic), but last night on the road to Mumbai airport, there was a bad accident. A white UBER / OLA sedan seemed to have crashed into the back of a BMW 5 series. Very peculiar angle - the Beemer was on the left side headed to the airport but the cab was perpendicular to it having hit its rear. Either it went horribly wrong on an overtake or I wonder if the BMW perhaps changed lane causing it. Seemed most likely the cab's fault.

If anyone happened to get a click of that perhaps they could upload it here.

From the picture, it appears to be the stretch behind ISRO on the road that joins Karthik Nagar junction on ORR to the Yemalur Signal on HAL Road.

The wide undivided stretch sees some really rash driving and high speeds. I've had a few near misses over the years with people often overtaking three or even four wide pushing oncoming traffic off the road. There are also some undulations due to manhole covers that can throw a vehicle off balance if a sudden change of direction is attempted.

What we lack big time as a nation is strategic thinking, it is very much missing in our system in every aspect.

Every action is short sighted and a knee jerk reaction to some unfortunate event, we need centralized think-tanks which can do better traffic planning at a strategic level and co-ordinate all the systems that are part of the infrastructure.

• One department lays new roads and the other department immediately digs the same to lay a cable.
• There are no co-ordinated signals (which hopefully is coming soon to Bangalore as I've heard).
• There is no effort to ensure point to point bus connectivity.
• There is absolutely no last mile connectivity of the buses with the metros.
• There is no effort to give a boost to local trains.

People are just left to fend for themselves, so everybody ends up buying a personal vehicle and the result is huge vehicle density on our limited roads.
In fact, people are managing quite well on our city roads given the situation they are subjected to.

Bus stops are almost always located near junctions and signals, they all stop there and create chaos. Is is so difficult to have a rule that bus stops should be located atleast 100 meters away from traffic junctions? Just plain common sense missing. You'll always find an auto-wallah just parked around the corner when you want to join the main road, making it so difficult for you to enter.

Another problem with our bus drivers is, they stop anywhere they want right in the middle of the road without any warning. Is it so difficult for the drivers to realize that buses need to stop only at bus stops "by the side of the road". Because of the fact that these are Government owned buses, they are not afraid of being penalized by the cops.

Most two wheelers are always in a great hurry.
Perhaps its due to an attitude such as "I'm on a two-wheeler so I should be able to travel quite fast zipping through every possible nook and corner. Fellow motorists please adjust a bit, i'm going to overtake you from the left, cut across your lane, zip around that divider for a bit, please adjust accordingly and accommodate my behavior "

What they better realize is that rules are very much made in everybody's interest and it is best followed to meet their personal safety needs. Sooner or later, the law of probability is going to catch up with people who break rules.

There is absolutely no excuse for driving and holding a mobile and talking/texting at the same time. This is very very dangerous behavior.
It was quite an anxious moment when watching that scooterist inching towards the wheel of the bus, he could have easily ended up under the bus, just missed it by a whisker. It was also touching to see the other fellow motorist lending a helping hand and making sure that he is alright.

To give some credit to the traffic situation in Banglore, it is actually far better than some places such as Hyderabad or Ahmedabad as I've experienced.
People in Bangalore are much more aware and actually follow rules far better and it also enforced by the Bangalore police far more stricter than many places.
For Eg: in Hyderabad, the signal turns Red and people keep driving on without stopping, all this right in front of the person manning the traffic.
In Ahmedabad, the behavior is a bit more complex, motorists stop at signals depending on who (what level of cop) is at the signal.

Hopefully things will get better in time with stricter law enforcement and better public awarness about road rules and safety, it has to be taught right in school as a compulsory subject in the interest of our next generation.

The logical reason for that is that, people who take Public Transport are walking to a bus, and intersections are easier because of a dedicated signal and pedestrian crossing. The logic isn't bad and we have far fewer bus stops anyway.
Last mile connectivity is Zero, it is atrocious to say the least. Even a city like Bangalore, where people are just fed up with driving their cars and bikes, we still cannot fix Public transit. And as you said, all this means people are fending for themselves and buying a car because there isn't much choice. Results in more traffic, worse transit times, more fuel, more accidents. Just plain all round bad.

I've watched the related news in the local channel. It's reported "The driver refused to take that bus as it's fitness was not good. He even mentioned it at home before going. The depot manager was suspended subsequently for not heeding to his plea.
Apparently it's a Tuesday(many people visit the Hanuman mandir) and the dept should have added more services. As for the incident, when the driver saw the speed breaker and braked (there were around 90-100 people in the bus), some of the passengers fell on him causing him to lose control over the steering and thus resulting in the fall."

Further investigation revealed that the steering came off due to the impact of the speed breaker. Hence driver couldn't control the bus. As per the ticket conductor, who is in the hospital, there were about 115 people in the bus and he issued ticket to 96 people just before the accident.
