That is one bad smash up!
There is no mention of the driver being charged or arrested!

@Sunilrj - This is amazing. The A & B pillars of the vehicle are completely ripped apart. Difficult to believe that anything apart from a head on collision with a truck or a wall could have done that. Does nothing to confirm my beliefs about the build quality of Tata vehicles.

On a different note, good that there were no women in the car, or Muthalik and co (sic!) would have had another issue to trumpet about.

The Hindu : Tamil Nadu / Kancheepuram News : Four killed in accident

Quote:
The car was caught between the rear wheel of the trailer-lorry and the road median. While Pachaiammal, Rajeshwari and Arivazhagan (car driver) were killed on the spot, Vijayakumar died at a hospital, the police said.
Any idea what car that was? Is that a Estilo?

Hard to believe that someone could survive such a horrific crash. They should really feel lucky.

Is that an Indica or Santro ?

Oh my god, it takes so much effort to put a Safari like this, Its fortunate for the kids to escape the crash but unfortunate for the Safari to get in to the hands of these insane drivers

Looking at the curved rear window of the red mangled mess of a car, doesnt it look like an indica?

Initially I thought it was an Indica but, the accident has made a tall boy out of it and hence the confusion. Yes from the rear angle (curve) it does seem to be an Indica.

The cops should come down heavily on the driver of the Safari who was drunk. just because nobody was injured or killed and since there was no property damage, he should not be allowed to get away.

Local dailies quoted the car as Zen. So that has to be an estilo.

Small miscalculation in overtaking proved fatal for the family :(
