The best part is, when I saw the picture first, I thought that in addition to the cabin, the yellow container had caved in due to the impact. Finally, when I looked at it closely, I infer that the shape of the container is such.

Also, it seems that the tanker is invincible !

Seems to me like the tanker was parked with no reflectors and the other truck just didn't see it and ploughed right into it.

Posting some pics of an accident in Palio in July 2004 in Kolkata. My friend was driving the car and we were at quite high speed when suddenly a mentally retarded person jumped in front and my friend tried to save him. The wheels got locked under heavy braking and we landed up in the field beside. Hit a tree and tumbled three times before coming to a halt. We came out scratch-less. I think it was only possible because it was a Palio.

The images are not of good quality as they were taken with the Motorola v30 which I had bought just a few days before the accident...

BlackPearl, thats a nasty crash. Its not only the Palio that got you out scratch less but I am sure you guys had your seat belts on, did you? Are you serious you guys came out scratch less from this wreck?

@ MF - neither BlackPearl nor his friend wore seat belts - AFAIremember - wearing seat belts was not mandatory at that time. yes they came out scratchless. this happened near Rajarhat Express Way - my car also enjoyed a minor spin there @ the 2nd kolkata meet.

I will call it plain luck in that case and of course I dont deny that the car took the impact well and saved Blackpearl. Btw guys it is not mandatory any time to wear seat belts but please be assured they have saved a lot of lives here on team-bhp itself.

btw, BP sold the car to a car dealer (after repairing) and to his surprise it was bought by his collegue after a few days. his collegue still owns the 1.2 palio along with a galaxy black 1.6 GTX.

MF - i know that seatbelts definitely save lives. even i wear it whenever i take out our m800.
