Last week, my car was hit from behind by a bike - I did chase this guy (for over 3 kms), but this guy vanished into one of the many small bylanes! Thankfully he did not cause major damage - its just a scratch on the bumper. (I am happy its a FIAT - had it been a Maruti, he'd have atleast misaligned the bumper)
I had just started off from a Red light, and a truck ran into me from behind.

On Saturday evening, saw a Honda City (ANHC) being towed on a flat-bed truck at the signal just before IISc, Bangalore.

The City seemed half-burnt; there were burn marks on the rear (up to mid of the rear doors) and the tyres were completely burnt.

Was driving so couldn't take pics. Wonder what happened to it!

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Y'day (07th Dec) morning on BETL, a mini-bus carrying employees to ECity escaped from a major accident.
It seems the tyre burst in the middle of of BETL. Since it was going in a safe speed, the driver was able to control to some extent and avoided a major accident. Still it stopped only after hitting the median.
I was coming in the next bus, just 2 minutes after that one. All the employees shifted to our bus and none of them had any injuries/scratches - but ofcourse shaken.

Snapped up this water tanker under the Gandhi Nagar flyover (on the corner outside the petrol pump) on 8th Dec 2010. There was also a damaged auto there.

Saw this accident yesterday. It happened near Hyderabad Central University. Don't know about the casuality. It happened in the night. By looking at the incident seems like the driver might have gone asleep. Because it is a straight road and noway he can hit the divider.

Not sure about the casualities, haven't seen any news in the news paper, so that means driver is survived.

that is one horrible accident. the steering column is where the driver should be!! look at the dashboard - its been ripped off! even the engine has come off its mounts and lying on the ground with other parts strewn all over the place!

must have been a head-on collision; maybe someone came on to the wrong side.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

A wrecked Honda CR-V lying on a roadside ditch on the by-pass road in my town.

The accident happened at 2 AM three days ago when the driver lost control and went into a water filled ditch. The front end was smashed and the front airbags deployed. I could see this CR-V on a regular basis in the town, so it was sad to see it damaged so badly, a probable total loss case

ahhh,poor swift. I hope your cousin's covered.

and dont you just hate these chain-winches, when they hook up to your car?
everytime you go over a bump or something, you can feel them creating havoc on the underside....
adds further to the bill..

The bill for the damages has been paid by the Erring tavera driver.
i agree, with the towing part, but then there was no other option available.

sad to see a greatly maintained swift like this. Hope your cousin is fine enough to get the dough out of the tavera!!

Best wishes for your cousin and his swift!!

And that CRV looks sad, another case of avoided-if-did-not-drive-during-night!!
