and the boot shut line.No impact, but its still misaligned.wonder how fats fast he was going when he hit whatever he hit.

Gosh, that's a nasty one. The front seems to have taken a massive hit and even the roof seems to have collapsed. Damage around the A-pillar reminded me of the S-class accident that is being discussed in another thread.

Me thinks that this Vento was cut open to pull out the occupants, notwithstanding the fact that it was a nasty crash, that C pillar cut and A pillar cut look like the work of a machine!

I also feel the same. And the steering and dashboard looks (whatever is seen in the pic) looks quite ok. Any further info on this accident?

This is a Vento Petrol, Trendline... No ABS, no airbags, and the car. I hope that the inmates of the cars are safe....

I saw an Audi being towed away (flat bed) on the western Express Highway. It seems the audi had rear ended someone at Dahisar.

The bonnet appeared damaged and dented. Not sure about internal panels.

Speaking to Daijiworld, N Yogish Bhat said that by divine grace he escaped the accident without any major injury. He explained that he and his family members were going to Mysore to attend a programme. The accident occurred at around 11.15 pm last night when the driver lost control over the vehicle, which resulted in a skid.
"There was a river ahead, but at the right time the vehicle stopped after falling into a ditch which was around 15 ft deep. The door was locked and we had to break open the glass to come out. The people in escort vehicle came to our rescue, and local people also extended timely help," he said.

OMG he was our neighbour in Mangalore about 10 years back and in very good terms with my parents , he also came for my brothers marriage in Mangalore in July'11.

I showed these pictures to mom just now and she thanked god that nothing went wrong. I wish his wife a speedy recovery.

Just read in the TOI about the pile up of 30 cars on the Greater Noida e-way due to fog. The website says 20 cars, paper says 30, dont know which one is accurate.

It seems the patrol team arrived 8 hrs after the pile up. No cops, no cranes to clear the wreckages. The people themselves were moving their vehicles to the side to avoid any further carnage. Two different versions of the cause of the pile up - newspaper say the speeding vehicle rammed into stationary truck and the further pile up, whereas the net version is different.

A truck stalled on the highway. The driver must've tried to move it to the leftmost lane when it got hit by a Zen Estilo.So, the truck was left blocking three lanes & with its front facing the leftmost lane. A perfect recipe for disaster.The Estilo got hit by a Honda city, then a call center cab & an I-10. Attaching pics from TOI Delhi.
The incident occurred just 10km from pari chowk.

Another life lost due to Fog and lack of any safety standards. This Santro collided with an overloaded trolley loaded with iron rods, which pierced into the driver's body. May the departed person's soul rest in peace.



Accident also reported in today's HT, though this happened a few days ago.

A concrete mixer overturned near Infiniti Mall in Andheri last evening. They needed to call in a crane to get it out of the way. Don't know how it happened or if there were any casualties, but needless to say it did mess with the flow of traffic.
