In an ideal world, if the left lane is empty then the person doing 80kph or following the speed limit should also be driving on the left lane and not on the right.

Every one driving has to abide by the rules and is not in his scope to take law in his hands for enforcing which is to be left with the enforcing agencies. Therefore on the contention that he is at the speed limit is justification for blocking others provided other lanes are free then. In congested and high speed traffic it is OK to be on the right lane at limit of allowable speed.

No matter what speeds you are at ( 80.180 or 280 kph), the RHS lane should be kept open and be used only for overtaking .

Yes it is okay to be the rightmost lane ,but only to overtake . Most of us are forced to drive on the rightmost lane just because of the ignorance of the idiot ahead of us .

Witnessed an accident on Hosur road in front of Narayana hrudayalaya at 8 45 pm. A JBL bus belonging to SRS travels which was travelling towards Attibele jumped over the divider, collided with an oncoming Innova and hit the railing which seperates the service road from highway. The entire left portion of the bus was badly damaged. The Innova's front left part was damaged. I think the bus was in a very high speed and the driver lost the control which caused it to jump over the divider. I could see two trucks parked behind the bus but couldn't make out whether they were involved in the accident. The damage on the bus looked like it was hit by 3-4 vehicles.

Accidents are almost happening every other day in Chennai GST. That too between Perungalathur and Mahindra City. Yesterday there were two accidents one at 9AM and another at 11AM. Both were motorcyclist and both spot dead. Today morning around 7: 45 there was a bike accident near maraimalai nagar. The guy was lying on the road without any movements and people were around him. Don’t know what happened. Why don’t these idiots wear a helmet?

DTC bus hits pedestrians after its brakes failed. I wonder how long they will keep these old buses in service and endanger life and property!

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

An inexperienced temporary driver of a Ford Endeavour went berserk outside a South Bombay college when he floored the throttle and knocked bikes and cars parked and damaged a total of 9 cars and many more bikes and hit a college girl in the process who is critically injured. Apparently the driver hit a few cars and bikes initially and stopped but after seeing the crowd rush towards him he went on thrashing other vehicles and the poor girl fell victim to this insanity. She almost flew 8 feet before landing on the ground and was rushed to the hospital instantly. The Endeavour driver was unconscious after the vehicle finally toppled to its side and the windscreen was broken to remove him and was taken to the hospital by the cops nearby. The accident is nothing less than horrifying.

THere was an accident on the Flyover over the crossing that connects the road from Hotel Hilton Riverside (Mayur Vihar side) to DND toll road. Three cars a white i10, maroon Getz & beige Alto was involved in the accident which would have happened around 10 AM. The 2 Hyudais were apparently in much better shape as compared to Alto which had climbed the divider & had a detached rear axle. Did not stop at the point as the Police was already there & the drivers/occupants didn't seemed harmed & was on the Thunderbird & not on Santro Xing (could not have helped the injured on a 2-wheeler).

Saw this funny accident near Sankey Tank in Sadashivanagar (Bangalore). The driver of this bolero maxitruck misjudged the height of his own vehicle while stopping at a roadside pharmacy. Probably he came at a high speed and stopped suddenly in front of the shop to deliver some stuff. The tree did considerable damage to the vehicle and it broke the bolero into two pieces. The chassis itself got damaged severly.

Saw an accident a little while ago on the faridabad-mg road pahaadi link road. A grey innova had crashed and had climbed the divider. As usual, im guessing someone didnt pay heed to the yellow blinkers at that intersection. Were a couple of other cars, a crowd and cops. Couldn't see or figure out anything else, was trying to negotiate the crossing myself!

My brother also told me about the accident, as he returned from a party in Gurgaon around 11.45 pm yesterday (12/10/2012).

The damage to the car on the other side (which is not visible in these pictures) seems to be more. Any idea about what really happened and the condition of the occupant(s)?

One of my friends scratched the right rear door of his new Verna against a pillar while parking. So much for the parking sensors...

That's a horrifying accident indeed. Was the Endeavour a new one or a customer vehicle?

Poor Bolero But it's funny! What would they now do to it? Saw it in half and then weld it back together ?

What's the man with a gun and a purse doing there? He looks like a security guard, he should be guarding something and not watching accidents! And whose purse can he be carrying?
