re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Saw this today morning at LP bridge Nerul, Navi Mumbai, must have happened early morning. Truck's cabin was completely crushed. Hope there was no casualty.

Had received the dash cam last evening only from Aliexpress and this was my first drive after installation.

I used this bridge today and there were no signs of the accident.
A guilty pleasure to know that even tipper truck’s cabins can be crushed this way in a road accident as opposed to the truck falling into a gorge, etc.

Mind sharing about the make and installation procedure of your dashboard camera?
The clarity is evident.

It would do him more harm than his own idiotic action did.

An overloaded truck does a wheelie as it tries to cross a railway crossing. The height of the load on the truck was probably too much and it hot caught on the beam. The load distribution probably resulted in the truck tipping backwards easily and getting stuck. I wonder how they finally got it down. I'm not sure what the date and location are.

Was at the A.S.S today when I saw this Nexon XTA. Looks pretty bad - damages to the front, except the rear left wheel, 3 tyres not there on the rims. The roof edge has come in a bit on both sides and roof has bulged upwards, and the car has slid on it's left side. Windscreen - obvious from the pic.

But the good part - the dash and cabin inside looked good. No stains inside.

According to this report in Indian express, it says Javed Akthar was in a different car. It also mentions Shabhana Azmi's car rear ended a truck on the Mumbai-Pune expressway.

What you said is true. Pity, our Laws needs overhaul. Definitely, the Car driver will be blamed for not giving way.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Seems like Shabana Azmi's Safari tried to overtake from the wrong side and while attempting did not notice a stationary truck and rear ended it. If true that is a very serious shunt and they are lucky that no one was seriously injured.

The driver is not injured, the actress suffered from whiplash injuries.

This is most likely because she hadn't put the seat belt on.

Whiplash, in my understanding, has to do with one's head doing a rapid back and forth shortly in the aftermath of an impact. The headrest plays a role in minimizing the head's travel-range; if one were seated without a headrest (as most cars don't have a headrest in the middle of row #2), whiplash is at its worst. As it is, even with a headrest, whiplash can be quite severe.
