re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

This 800 just went full-on "Tokyo Drift" mode to avoid the tractor. A very close call there.

My friends Scorpio did a similar act in his apartment basement parking a few years ago. The vehicle was in reverse gear with hand brake engaged. After midnight, the vehicle started moving by itself in reverse, hit the apartment boundary wall and stopped after damaging the wall and its tailgate. The culprit was a short circuit in the starter motor wiring due to rat bite.

^ Looks like the motorcyclist's front wheel clipped the rear of the white scooter to set in motion this chain of events.

I just needed to confirm with a sense of impending horror that the motorcyclist's head didn't come under the wheels of the black hatchback. It can get very grisly when a human body comes under a tyre which is screeching to a halt...Anyhow, it seems to me that his shoulders or upper back came under its wheels. I hope it's not his upper back since we're looking at paralysis or internal injuries - what with the spine, lungs and heart being involved.

If you look thoroughly, no part of the person; other than probably a few fingers have come under the car. How do I know this? Well, because I went through a very similar situation just a few months back.

When a person comes under the car, the car literally shakes like it has gone over a brick. But if you notice the video carefully, you will see that as soon as the front bumper of the car his the person, he/she is completely turned around on the road itself pivoting at probably the hip point - CAR DRIVER WAS LUCKY, I WOULD SAY

People who drive their vehicles like an ambulance are bound to travel in them one day. Pity on the pillion rider of the scooter, her family needs to suffer all because of a MotoGP rider who rear ended their vehicle. And I feel sorry for him too. A little patience could have made many lives happier, now all destroyed in seconds. People forget they are riding on public roads where others lives are at stack on their riding skills.

You're right, the car didn't do an up-down so it didn't run any part of him over at all. And that's a great thing to realize!

I guess, having seen a lorry screeching to a halt over a fallen motorcyclist made me think along similar lines. This hatchback was no lorry, I was wrong. But anyway - as to my memory, the lorry (obviously) didn't register any vertical movement. It screeched to a halt and shredded a human being beneath its skidding tyres.

This is not a car but a commercial tempo I suppose, which is used to transport people.

Can you identify the make & model? Doesn't look like a large vehicle.

I hope the biker is alive, if only to prevent his stupidity spoiling far more than one day of the oncoming driver's life.

I rant about overtaking on left, but in this instance, it is where the space actually was.

Yet another biker learns that the whole world does not change shape and make room for them.
