I don't take any notice of signals, pedestrian or traffic, if there's no traffic.

On the other hand, I detest pedestrians who ignore the traffic signals, crossing just as the long-awaited green comes for the cars. I watch those signals, and cross accordingly --- shouting at the drivers ignoring them

On foot or on wheels, all should wait their turn.

One more accident at the railway crossing. Can't they wait for 5 or 10 minutes for the trains to pass? Do they have brains in the first place, a bunch of idiots.

I like this statement - 'Walked' back home.
It could have been worse.

You are right, the Grand i10's front wheel turned completely towards right after hitting the Kwid. The Kwid's rear wheel was impacted and is out of alignment, so there is definitely damage there too.

Once the wheel turned right, there was no coming back. If the Kwid impact was avoided i10 could have still come back to its lane, basically he lost control after impact with Kwid. So a smaller impact actually led to the major one.

Where is it? Cars colliding due to their mistake is one disaster but people crossing the road when vehicles are coming on it fast is the next level of disaster. At the start I see ladies walking to cross the road which is again a big NO

Its not about the train crossing or only these idiots, its about the culture of not waiting your turn. Without going into the social psyche of how our entire country developed this, I would say, this is an outcome of a very common behavior in our country, across economic strata.

The two wheeler riders get more opportunities (pedestrians even more!) and four wheelers appear to be better behaved, because of less opportunities, but they leave no chance either.

I see it more as a missed opportunity for a Darwin award.

Ideally, he should be fined by the railways for damaging the train and tracks.

In another incident, a person trying to operate his mobile phone while on a motorcycle lost balance and fell. Thankfully the guy didn't get any serious injury but this could have been fatal.

These days it's a common sight to see two-wheeler drivers using their mobiles. Absolutely dangerous.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

The Grand i10 had already entered the right lane, before sideswiping the Kwid. It looks like a 2 lane road, but there were no other vehicle in his path. A 2 wheeler was there, but extreme left. So, I guess the Grand i10 driver might've dozed off.

We can see the grand i10 crossing the middle line before it sideswiped Kwid.

Haha! I try not to wish harm on others, but sometimes that's a hard principle to remember!

The train is stopping. I suppose they have to if they hit anything. How long would the delay be? I guess a no-injury collision is going to be dealt with quicker than one where bits of human get squashed.

Anyway, I'm guessing that the train must be certified safe to proceed. Does anyone know the procedure and how long it takes?

Anyway, this idiot has not only lost a bike. He has interrupted the rail schedule, with a knock-on effect on countless others. There should be consequences. I wonder if the licence plate was still readable.
