Hyderbad Cielo in Flames

This went into a wrong thread. Mods requesting relocation here:

I also recall my Opel used to overheat a lot. Due to radiator clogging, work out fan, engine back-compression and idling traffic. I am lucky to be able to sell it off, else I could face being trapped in an incinerator.

Once I had a fiat 73 model way back in 1998. which was old ructy and rickety. As I was merrily driving one day, smoke came out of the car.. I got out and ran for my life....people came and poured water on the bonnet. The battery cable had burnt along with the wiring harness. The ignition wiring of the car had got crimped with the rusted bodyshell. Then I actually used some wires to start the car with the same battery and drive back home.

Yes its a VGT. Most of the time in Verna if u floor the accelerator the next thing u goto do is brake...U rarely will get the chance to upshift..

but the number of crashed vernas have come down since the launch. it either means, they are all crashed up and of the roads, or that the public have learnt how to drive them.

@kpzen, it went sideways over a divider and didnt roll? lucky!

This happened about six months back in Bandra. Corsa Swing or whatever they called it. Blazing away in the dark evening.

The airbags did pop out. The driver and the co passenger escaped without any serious injuries. We saw this on a group drive on mysore road, stopped to take pictures, local bystanders said it happened early in the morning, driver must have slept. It first hit the divider, lost control and fell off the road. You can see that the parking lights were still on when those snaps were taken hours later the accident.

My god! That's a total waste of a good piece of automobile.
It seems like the car has been lying there for sometime as there's a good amount of dust seen on the car.
