Possibly, both Indica and Truck were travelling in a opposite direction. The Indica must have been trying to over take a vehicle in front of it and couldn't make it back to the left lane of the road in time and the truck ran over it's right side.
The right side of the car is fully shredded and the left side of the truck is damaged. A very high speed run-in it must be for the indica to get into such shape. The road looks like a normal 2-lane highway. No way, the driver atleast could have survived. RIP :(

That Indica is beyond recognition except from the back. Wonder what speeds they were doing. 5 guys with a 18 yr old at the wheel usually suggests high speed. On the other hand, either or both of them could have dozed off.

Sunday night around 10:30 - 11 pm saw a pearl white Tata Safari lying on its left side right in the middle of road. This happened on the Mumbai Bangalore by-pass at a crossing on the highway just past the Cyrstal Honda Showroom in Bavdhan, Pune. Accident seemed to have taken place 1 minute or so before I reached the spot. People running here there. Saw few guys turning the Safari back on its wheels and getting it to the side of highway. Tyre marks could be seen atleast 50 feet from the spot. Looks like Safari was moving fast and someone jumped in between at the crossing. To avoid the driver tried to brake hard and turn to the right. The momentum must have tipped the car on its left side. Don't know about any causualties. one guy was sitting on the divider pretty shaken up. may be he was one of the occupants. No pictures either.

That Indica crash looks scary. Me thinks the car hit the truck head on, and the truck ran over the car completely - look at the front axle of the truck - it's been ripped away from its holds - such was the impact.

@ssengo and others: that newspaper article is of a similar crash that happened in 2008, at Irugur. The one posted here happened on the L&T bypass road near Coimbatore if I understood it right.

The L&T road is getting more and more dangerous. NH-47, from where these vehicles get on to and off from L&T road, is clogged most of the time. People go pedal to metal on the bypass road, in most cases, seeing the smooth tarmac.

The Manza's front right wheel was deflated due to the impact. And the A-pillar had lost it's structural integrity. Parts were hanging.
