That Safari has toppled off to its left side and almost gone wheels up. And then set back on its wheels again.

Its a common sight with Scorpio's too.

Bad start to the day.

There was an accident near Krishna Nagar crossraods an hour back when a APSRTC bus came down on an incline due to brake failure and hit an auto from behind as far as I can understand from the accident site.

Poor auto driver passed away. The road is super busy 24X7 and luckily it was not a share auto / no passengers at the time of accident.

Those familiar with Krishnanagar / Srinagar colony can understand how choked that place is. It is on TV as I type. Let the driver RIP.

The news channels are reporting that the bus was driven by temp -contract hired due to APSRTC employees joining the telengana agitation.

Well seems that a tree has fallen since the fender on front right side is fine but the damage is to left side and body has damage on the right side which probably is the most plausible cause.

The car looks to be Maruti Esteem. Looks like the hand brake was not engaged and the car went into the ditch.

The car is Alto not Esteem

i think the place where the Alto was parked caved in. don't think the water washed it perfectly into that ditch.

That 5th picture is heartbreaking.

That hole in the earth ( ), was it cordoned off prior, or after the incident?

seeing the way my city is imploding, esp in the Raj-era quarter, cant help but think that maybe the road sank under the car.

Thats clearly an Alto and not an esteem! Poor car got swallowed up. Hard to believe!

This accident occured near Kodairoad, where this Wagon-R tried to cross the unmanned level crossing. Two people died on the spot. (News Paper reported this vehicle as Omni)

Incidentally this train was a Speed Test-train, as the railway wants to increase the speed to 125KM / hour in this stretch ( Between Dindukkal to Madurai)
