A premium numberplate on that Innova too! It didn't prove too lucky for the owner, so it seems.

Are these things illegal in India under any law? In any case, I wish they were available somewhere in this country.

Flamethrowers are very much available in India. Search for a thread titled flamethrowers. You must find all info there.

This is not a recent accident, it happened almost 8 months ago in Belgaum. My friend, the owner of the 800, was driving too fast one early morning. He managed to do the unthinkable as he was loaded with hangover. The poor, little down to earth 800 was pushed too fast around a sharp curve, over the median, as it flew into the air and with one somersault, landed on the opposite side top down.
Luckily the idiot inside escaped unhurt; Me arriving first on the scene didnot know whether to cry or laugh at his plight. As he narrated the whole thing and how he was delivered outside by breaking open a window pane and it was kinda like a rebirth, I couldn't control my laughter. We still couldn't believe he didn't have a single scratch.

The car was repaired over the next couple of months. The main engine block was not damaged, but the radiator, oil sump, air filters and many stuff were replaced. Also three doors and the bonnet was replaced and the whole car was repainted a brighter shade of white.

I am curious.
Suppose an insurance company is able to prove that the driver was drunk at the time of an accident.
Can they deny paying the insurance.
Insurance for the car, loss of life or injury to driver and third party.

Sure they can. This is clearly mentioned in the insurance policy.

Lucky that this friend of yours did not kill or maime anyone with his drunken antics.

Which friend of mine.

Any friend of mine drinking and driving will have difficulty sitting down comfortably for a considerable amount of time.
Thanks to the serious kicking, I will be more than happy to give.
