Way to go Skoda. A crash in those conditions even with no seatbelts and the occupants are safe. +1 to its crash safety.

Thats scary !! Should be thankful to God and Skoda.

- Could not resist myself to post it here ......

MODS - If inappropriate, please delete / move....

I went to a party Mom,
I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom,
So I drank soda instead.

I really felt proud inside, Mom,
The way you said I would.
I didn't drink and drive, Mom,
Even though the others said I should.

I know I did the right thing, Mom,
I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending, Mom,
As everyone is driving out of sight.

As I got into my car, Mom,
I knew I'd get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me,
So responsible and sweet.

I started to drive away, Mom,
But as I pulled out into the road,
The other car didn't see me, Mom,
And hit me like a load.

As I lay there on the pavement, Mom,
I hear the policeman say,
"The other guy is drunk," Mom,
And now I'm the one who will pay.

I'm lying here dying, Mom....
I wish you'd get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom?
My life just burst like a balloon.

There is blood all around me, Mom,
And most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom,
I'll die in a short time.

I just wanted to tell you, Mom,
I swear I didn't drink.
It was the others, Mom.
The others didn't think..

He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank
And I will die.

Why do people drink, Mom?
It can ruin your whole life.
I'm feeling sharp pains now.
Pains just like a knife.

The guy who hit me is walking, Mom,
And I don't think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying
And all he can do is stare.

Tell my brother not to cry, Mom.
Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom,
Put "GOOD BOY " on my grave.

Someone should have told him, Mom,
Not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom,
I would still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter, Mom.
I'm becoming very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mom.
When I needed you, you were always there.

I have one last question, Mom.
Before I say good bye.
I didn't drink and drive,
So why am I the one to die?

Great and miraculous stanjohn. Rock solid build of the Skoda! The passenger compartment is still mostly intact.Even the dash is in its place. The engine bay was the worst hit.
Take care!

Engine bay bore the brunt of the crash, that's why they are still alive though God did play a big role there. Lady Diana & her partner didn't survive in their Mercedes S class at speeds of 200 kmph.

I hope you are taking this as a 2nd chance and use it well (wear seat belts, drive slowly - 160 is insane in India - and carefully).

Yeah i know i've got a 2nd chance again..so i'm being very careful now with just the occasional speeding but not as crazy as before..Its like i always tell myself to go slow but can never control it once i start seein someone overtake me..anyways all i wanted to say is that Skoda is a gem of a car..there have been even accidents with Benz E class in our area and no one in that accident survived..and honestly till date i haven't heard anyone die invlovling an accident in a Skoda !!!

crazybiker :

That is very much my car only man..i didn't notice it previously on this post :-)

Crazybiker:

No it didnt rear end anythin..i just over sped and flew out of control trying to avoid a lorry in front of me...i've explained it clearly just above the pics i've posted..

I saw a badly mangled KPN Volvo bus just near the exit to Dharmapuri on the Dharmapuri-BLR Highway. Saw this last night at around 10.30pm. Was driving towards Bangalore. The Volvo was on the left side of the road. Guess it was coming from Bangalore, lost control at the intersection, jumped the median and crashed. Seems like a truck was also involved. It was turned turtle. Did not stop to check and enquire. Anyone saw or heard anything about this?

Hope there are no casualities but looking at the wreck, i fear there might be!

Sadly your fear has come true. 5 people were killed in this accident, which includes the bus driver and a 3 yr old kid. Guess that would have happened after dark.

Well myself and maggie were on our way back from Vagamon and was stranded there for an hour so between 7-8 pm. Here is what transpired, the Volvo(twin axle) which was heading towards madurai went straight into a truck. The truck laden with plywood coming in from the intersection(right side).

As per the cops the Volvo was doing good speeds at the intersection and went straight into the truck which was crossing the intersection from the right hand side.

We saw the wreck and was told that there was 5 deaths. Volvo's under body was completely ripped to shambles and the truck's cabin area was a wrangled mess of metal. Blood all over the place , gruesome is and understatement and oil on the road.

Accident happened at 3:30pm and I wonder what they were doing for good 4 hrs. Traffic was cleared only by about 8pm or so.

The trucker should have waited for a clear and then stuck its nose in the intersection.
