This is horrible. 11 burnt alive is simply ghastly. 3 Am I wonder what made that impact ? Some one dozed off the wheel most probably.

Another 3 in a row :)

This morning, saw another Trilogy on hebbal flyover.

Scene:Honda Civic---->Innova----> M 800
Direction: BIAL -----> Bangalore City (just near the end of the descent)

To my surprise, Civic was really banged up, the bonnet was crumpled and i guess the engine compartment had taken some beating, radiator was a goner too but Innova's rear end just had a small dent. Emphasizes the fact that, most vehicles have stronger rear ends. The poor lill M 800 also had some damage but the worst hit was the Civic.

Fellow BHPian's, this stretch is really notorious, when you enter the flyover, the traffic seems to be smooth and one tends to speed, but always watch out for vehicles jamming their breaks out of nowhere towards the end when you descend, thanks to the guys who planned this, you have a bus stop right after the flyover. Bus guys live upto their deadly reputations by breaking/stopping/turning abruptly. Although i am a regular, have run into surprises quite a few times on this stretch.

No Pics though :(, didn't want to cause more traffic jam.

My reaction would have been to stand on the brakes to try out a chance to get the vehicle stopped before it falls...Iam really not sure whether anyone will have the guts not apply the brakes & land the car with belly..is it for sure that letting the car without disturbing (braking) will not land with nose of the car (I don't know hence wanted to learn)

If you actually notice, almost the whole of Bangalore is like that.
You have bus stops at the following places

> Just Before/After a signal
> Just Before/After a Road Turning
> Just Before/After a Road intersection
> Before/After a flyover or underpass

Its amazing how the super brains conjure all this up

To add to the worries, these busstops do not have dedicated bus bays, even if it is there, those buses wont stop there. Instead you will find, the petty carts selling fruits, nuts/peanuts, etc. Very weird.

Also the BMTC bus drivers are well known to park the bus right in the middle of the road. I snapped a few pics and sent them to the respective depots, did not get any response.

They do this in Londdon, where the official approach to traffic management, over the last couple of decades, has been to snarl it up as much as possible in the hope that people won't drive there. For instance, you are waiting at the traffic signal, it changes, then the bus ahead crosses and stops. People there do not cross red lights, or even block certain (yellow box) junctions, on pain of being caught by camera and given large fines, so you watch the lights turn red again as you get nowhere.

Hey! Why do you think I came to India?

If law makers become law breakers, what do we expect. I caught this cop on palmbeach road at vashi today. He is not wearing a helmet and is talking on his cell phone with one hand off the handle bar. He was talking for atleast 3mins and this pic is taken at a busy intersection where one has to be more careful.

PS: pics taken from my E71 so pls excuse the clarity. Second pic is zoomed in.

I certainly hope you meant that in a funny way. You're in for a lot of flaming otherwise!

I know what you mean ... I commute on this route everyday, and join the City --> Airport road from the left side (from Yeshwantpur). I have been driving on this route for 4 years now, and have been in many compromising situations myself. The bus drivers stop on the middle of the last and middle lane, as if it is their right! Just opposite Esteem Mall.

(They cannot be fully blamed too ... there is no bus bay on this very dangerous road joint ... in spite of it being a planned road! )

Wow that's some serious damage for an accident involving two wheelers. I hope the biker and scooterist are okay.

don't tell me that these accidents aren't inspired from bollywood movies
Looks like the biker rammed at a high speed at that accent and must had tossed off and fell on the car's bonnet.

ANHC hit by chetak and OMG the damage-too much
