Yes, there are exceptions.
Take my example.
Since I was in grade 3, when my dad got his 1st car, I never let him even turn the engine on, until both he and my mom have fastened their belts.
And I used to get real mad at them, whenever they would sometimes cross the road at the middle (not at zebra crossings). Because of this, they always cross at zebra crossings, fasten their belts, and follow lanes, even when not in my presence. I have also convinced them sucessfully to replace our M800 with a larger, safer car with Airbags and ABS.

that is true. the Amby does not have a monocoque body, at least not Mark I - IV. not so sure about the Izuzu engine onwards

Hate to tell you this, but you're wrong. The Amby really is a monocoque or unibody car. The unibody techniques were introduced in Morris Minor itself by Sir Alec Issigonis. It was one of the earliest monocoques. (Source: Wikipedia, Motorbase.com)

@Raju is correct : that is an old Mahindra van. The vertical slats were never found on the Matadors or Bajaj Tempo vehicles. (The perdecessors of the Matadors had a more oval grille, something like that of an Indica /Accent - but turned upside down.

Just came back from the funeral of one of my relatives. He was a young unmarried chap, mid 20s.

Yesterday while riding his bike near Mannuthy, Thrissur, a truck hit him and he was run over by it, was there lying in the highway for 30 or more minutes. Hundreds of 'spectators' were enjoying the scene and NO ONE took him to hospital. Finally police had to take him in an AUTO to a hospital 12 Kms away, and on the way, he gave up.

Police had no vehicle of their own at that moment, as they told all the police cars were gone for escorting a minister.

The news is there in leading Malayalam newspapers.

I offer you all my condolences. I can't really express how bad I feel about it.

My uncle passed away in a similar accident a few years ago, and his 2nd daughter never got to see her father.

Sorry to hear that clever, i usually see bystanders helping in such cases but this point is now pointless as this did not happen, my cobrothers house is just 3km from the mannuthi crossroads and that road does require some planning, the divider is in sucha a way that its unavoidable for a motorist to hit it. i dont know when will our cops learn the value of life.
