Forgot to add. The dude survived with a broken arm and loads of bruises. Good car, bad driver.

Will the insurance pay for the damages as the car was involved in illegal racing?

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Why are the wipers midway in most of the accident cars that have frontal impact?

Do the drivers switch them on frantically or is it something that is automatic? (Like the hazard lights that come on in few cars)

Not able to comprehend quite a bit of what you have written here. Could you be a little bit more clear please, for the benefit of everyone

The Santro one is the worst in the last few posts. It has probably reduced to less than half its size. Hope there was not more than the driver inside, as it is hard to imagine what state the people would have been in, if they were at the back

And for the Cruze, the person got what was coming to him. Think of the risk people like that pose on the road to other users.

Almost everything that is due will be paid out. There will be a small cut in payout because of the 'negligent driving'. Really a small price to pay for one's mistake.

And who will prove that the guy was "racing". This thread disgusts me sometimes. I rarely see it.

No, policies explicitly exclude racing. Search policy wordings for "pacemaking".

If a car is to used for any kind of racing, additional cover has to be bought.

I think it is supposed to.

I've always found that a moment imagining the crunch of metal and the shattering of glass, not to mention the effect on flesh, improves my driving. This thread does just that.

But... I guess your "sometimes" is related to specific instances, and I can only agree.

My little daughter also gets disgusted when I call her to view this thread.
She believes that some automobiles are invincible and when she saw the Bentley in Andhra Pradesh crushed she was rattled.
Also the white Land Rover accident pictures on this thread disturbed her.
And finally she feels that the Scorpio is also a fortress on wheels but when these are mauled or dented she can't believe that this could have happened to a sibling of this muscular SUV resting in our garage.

I feel the photos in this thread should to shown to all who drive rashly everyday before they take to wheels.
if people are around me while reading this thread (which i do everyday) i make it a point to show them these photos in a hope of creating awareness.

She believes that some automobiles are invincible...
Then it must be compulsory viewing for her!

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

This thread is a must see for me before I embark on any highway journey.
No use turning our heads away from what is happening out there in real world.

The pics here might be disturbing but its better to know that the line between life and death is indeed very thin.

Lets drive safe.
