Sorry, when i meant parked car, cases where you will be sitting inside a stationary car may be to take a break during a long drive or waiting for some one or even waiting on a traffic signal. I had an accident on my indigo when an innova rammed on to be from the front when waiting on a signal. So in this case there is no deceleration for the sensor to measure.

Hi Ameaa, AFAIK, it registers the G forces. For a running car, deceleration.
