I have had similar real life experience in the year 2000 with my then Mercedes Benz W110 . It was about 6 am in the morning in the month of March few kilometers away from Etawah. A truck stopped ahead of me and i too stopped at a safe distance behind it. From behind a 18 wheeled Oil tanker from Mathura Refinery hit me . I was pushed and hit the truck ahead and saw the windscreen breaking and my face coming close to the truck loading deck. Finally the car stopped. The Boot had crumpled like paper and the rear wind screen had also broken. People started to grab whatever they could lay their hands on from the boot, We got out of the car and had to shout and stop us from being looted. The police station was just 200 meters ahead of us but no help from the police. We all escaped with minor cuts caused by the broken wind shield . All of us were buckled, car saved us and was totaled .
