People calling out that Mahindra had nothing to do with this feat need to understand that achieving a 5 star safety rating has more to do with the intent of the manufacturer than engineering prowess.
I'm glad that two of our homegrown automakers have chosen to provide safer cars over other things.

When I made the decision to buy my XUV3OO, I was somewhat apprehensive about not choosing the Nexon for its safety. Although there was Anand Mahindra's congratulatory tweet for nexon and a promise to better it.
The decision totally paid off today with the XUV coming out on top of the Nexon in terms of safety and Nexon facelift being not exactly to my preferences.

Wow really wow, how did I miss to see this post. I am really impressed the way Mahindra and Tata are competing for the safety of its customers.

I think XUV3OO is the third car to bag good score from NCAP after Tata's safety spree with the Nexon and Altroz.

Its high time, Maruti should think about safety as its top priority apart from mileage which I think no one will look for in the near future.

Kudos to our Indian manufacturers!
With the XUV500, Marazzo and XUV 300, Mahindra has proven that their new age cars are pretty safe.
I hope the new Scorpio follows the footsteps of it's siblings!

Congtatulations Mahindra, Its nice to see how Indian manufacturers are moving towards the right direction. We can expect more sefe cars from their line up in future. I wonder why Hyundai is left behind in this race.

Bahubali’. I hope all other manufacturers (yes, Maruti included) follow the path laid by Tata and Mahindra. Came to know Tiago and Tigor have also bagged 4 stars in safety.

Under the Safer Cars for Africa campaign, Global NCAP has tested the made in India Mahindra XUV3OO again and it has secured 5 star rating in the results published in January. It's good to see that the company has not done anything with the structure.
