While we can argue about the authenticity and methodologies of the NCAP systems, I think one thing that is very clear is that it has become a major talking point and people are beginning to take note. While the ratings significantly influencing sales is something that is a fair way away, the focus on crash testing and safety will help bring about a chance in the mentality of a majority of buyers and also help bring in policy changes with respect to safety.
