Re: Car horns to sound like musical instruments (Tabla, Flute etc): Nitin Gadkari Dear mandarins of MORTH,
As a humble, helpless, horrified, hunted and haunted user of your partially owned (PPP) properties, a.k.a roads, I would like to submit to you the following:
Kindly arrange to deliver horns that could play need based tunes.
For instance, in dry, parched and dusty areas, all horns must be mandated to play Rag Megh Malhar.
Automatic headlights could be wired up with horns so that we can have Raag Deepak being played after dusk and before dawn. Oh yes, please ask your men to disconnect electricity supply to street lamps. We have enough vehicles and more than enough traffic to carry us through dark phases of the day.
OEMs should be made to introduce options for choosing a basket of music that could be used by the driver/owner to let the world know of their intentions inside the car or on the bikes.
Mushy couples could go for music abundant in Shrungara rasa while an angry young man must have the chance to go for Rudra, Veera and Bhayanaka packages. (Perhaps the head honchos at M&M, with their experience in introducing XUV 700 can be consulted here.)
And yes, please allow us to have aftermarket fitments that would throw a volley of curses in all official Indian languages. Based on the situation, we will have the option to shower the choicest of abuses (on whoever impedes our movement on the road) in a language that will be the most unlikely one to be understood. Will help us vent our frustration without hurting others' sentiments.
On matters automobile and musical, dear Thad can be consulted. Quote:
