Re: Royal Enfield Bullet catches fire | Explosion due to improper handling of fire injures 10

I can't even imagine what must be going through the mind of the burning person. Poor guy, dead over a measly bike. What about his family? That is a terrible way to go.

Absolute clowns (to avoid profanity!). The guy is watering it like it will grow! Only sensible attempt was the wet sack and if they had just smothered the bike completely there was a chance. Else as everyone has said, sand, foam, dry powder based extinguisher only work in oil fires. Sad and avoidable, totally!
Best is to stay away if you are not aware of what to do, atleast you wouldn't become a victim of someone else's experiments.

Sad that someone had to lose their life in trying to help!!

I just have one takeaway from this:
If you are not sure about the consequences and have 0 knowledge of a particular stuff, do nothing. Unless someone's life is at risk, do not take any risk and stay safe and keep others safe.

That was horrifying to watch. I still don't get it, the four people are standing so casually near the burning bike as if watching something in the museum. They should have been at least 15 feet away. This accident was avoidable, I feel sorry for the folks who lost their lives unnecessarily. Secondly, the video shows the complete apathy of the person filming the incident. Rather than putting out the fire or helping the burn victims, he/she is more interested in making a video to post on social media. Today, people's priorities are different... unfortunately the truth in most of the cases.

There's really only one solution : Get away, inform the local Fire Service Dept. and wait for the pros to do their jobs.

The motorcycle got destined to scrapyard the very moment it got on fire; these guys weren't going to save anything. So, why even go near this, especially when some genius could OPEN THE FUEL CAP!?
