If you were referring to the normal pre-tensioners, as of 2025, Honda does provide front seatbelt pre-tensioners with load limiter, on all its cars including 2nd gen Amaze as well.

The standard pretensioners including the ones on the old Amaze are retractor pretensioners. Many modern cars are now coming with double pretensioners (retractor+lap) because the lap pretensioners can prevent the knees of larger occupants than those used in the ODB test from coming in contact with hard structures in the dashboard.

In fact GNCAP will remove the 2-point penalty for hard structures behind the dashboard (the "orange" knees in most cars) if the manufacturer can demonstrate using sled tests that the larger (95th percentile HIII) dummy at different impact angles is similarly protected to what was observed in the test. Being able to submit this data is subject to the structure and footwell remaining stable.

The Japanese website and brochure for the WR-V explicitly mention lap pretensioners.

Meanwhile, the MORE expensive, Japanese-built Honda Freed e:HEV (yes that's a name) earned only 4 stars today:

So then its safe to compliment Honda for 'better' safety in lower segment Elevate (WRV for JDM). They should now sponsor Elevate for G/BNCAP. Will give them a talking point.

As it is Elevate potential market size (NA Petrol Engine, CVT) competes in possibly only 40% of the Compact SUV market. The absence of Diesel, Turbo Petrol & Diesels reduces its play.
