Not so much for the second.

I can't seem to curb my speeding and overtaking urge, but why is that considered under a bad driver criteria? i disagree.

From what I have observed, the way a person walks, rides a bicycle etc will be the way he/she would drive and vice-versa. If you see a person walking in the middle of the road or just by the divider in the middle of road indifferent/inconsiderate to other users on the road, that's how he/she will drive - inconsiderately!

2. The way their ORVMs are folded
3. The way they pile up luggage blocking their rear glass
4. Scratches on all sides of the car

No way would I agree with that! I am an extremely disciplined driver, and both my front and rear bumpers of my verna have damage caused to them by idiots ramming me when i stop at a signal, or when I have parked at some place. All the scratches on my car are from external sources, except one on the front bumper which came from scraping a divider stone that had come onto the middle of the road

This can be debatable.

We always like to think of ourselves as better drivers. But probably because we did not hear the pedestrians curse behind us, or the screeching of tyres behind us at the signals, or the rude shout when we overtake cars and slow down. In most of the cases when we meet a bad driver, he/she may not even be aware of it. And the same applies to us as well!

Like mobike008 did not realize till now that according to hillram he is a bad driver. Just kidding mobike!

Agree, a good driver would keep both the ORVM open. If your afraid/ or get hit regularly, means you either have no confidence in how you drive or plain unlucky

Also, if a car has many many scratches then something is surely wrong with the driving skill of that car driver. That's just my opinion. I drive quite fast even in heavy traffic ( meaning as much as i can and i am always squeezing in traffic) and my car has so less scratches you can count it

Sure man. Like i said, my daily drive of over 50km is through heavy traffic and i maintain my daily timing of Home-Office-Home and both my ORVM are "always" open and i haven't touched any other car nor anybody has touched my car ( maybe once or twice but no way regularly for sure)

I don't know if it happens to anyone else but the days when I drive slow there are more people about to fall on my car then on days when I am driving fast. Maybe a slow car invites other people to come dangerously close to your car and probably scratch you?

OK, comprehension issue on my part. Since your 1st item was about parking, I thought you were saying that a person who folds/closes his ORVM 'when parked' is a bad driver. I fold the R-ORVM when parked and hence was wondering what is wrong about that.

BTW, I do not open/use the L-ORVM in city. Not because I dont want to, but because a hit by a lunatic cyclist/biker can leave me looking at a bill of couple thousand bucks. If it means my being called a 'bad driver' on tbhp, fine with me, because I know how I drive.

Talk about it bro. Happens to me all the time. Most of the scratches on my car happened either when I was driving slowly or waiting at signals. This is when some moron tries to squeeze thru or another daydreaming nutcase rear ends you.

Few things that just drive me crazy
1. People who drive at snail speed when theres a whole lane of cars behind them honking like crazy, move out of the way into the slow lane!
2. People who will drive between 2 lanes
3. Drivers who refuse to move over when you flash lights
4. Drivers that cut without indicators or brake suddenly risking a crash.
5. High beam drivers when theres really no need for it
