@acroback You have not clearly answered as to were you with the blinkers on then? From your posts it is presumed that you were.
Parking lights are the front passing lamps and the rear tail lights which is switched on with the first turn of the light switch.
The important part to know is that the blinkers or the hazard warning lamps, as they are called, are not for slow cruising, parking, in rains, while reversing etc.

Clear your confusion between parking and hazard warning lamps.

Other than for parking Parking lamps can be used only at dusk for normal running as an identifiable signal and not for midnight loitering.

There is a separate thread existing in the forum on this. Kindly go through

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

This cabbie was a real bad one. At the signal (Pic1- Medical Trust Jn)) he was so sluggish when the light turned green and did not move when four to five cars in front of him moved out, and then when the signal turned to Red, he went to the middle of the road and then reversed back into the zebra. Then up to the next signal he drove throgh the right and last moment tried to cut across causing confusion to others (This could not be captured as I did not want to be in this thread as I was moving and did not want to confuse by stopping to click)
Then this guy went further left blocking the free left. He was forced to move up by continuous honkers wanting to go left.(can see this in the last two pics)

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

If someone knows the owner of White Maruti 800 bearing registration number "AP 10 N 486", please inform her that, "She is either going to kill someone or herself".

I told her that myself, when she was stopped at a traffic light in front of me at LV Prasad Eye Hospital.

VERY VERY BAD DRIVER.
Last I saw her, she was parking illegally in front ICICI Bank at Jubilee Hills Rd 36.

She needs to understand that a car is not a point and shoot device.

^^You'll be surprised how many drivers have no idea what the yellow box is supposed to mark.

The loo theory is a possibility. An alternate, mundane explanation could be another car \ motorbike parked in front which straddled two parking spaces leaving just enough space for this car to park behind it. And when the other vehicle left - this driver looks like the idiot. Well he is because thinking outside the box is good, parking outside the box - not so much!

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

A sight that I saw earlier today really irritated me a lot.

We trust these people to take our children to school and expect safe driving practices. But can parents take a little time to check the condition of these vehicles?

I even had a discussion with the car guy and he said the gas was over, and I did not see a 'gas filling port' anywhere on the car! Probably was using commercial cooking gas :(

See the pic and decide for yourself

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

Could someone tell all those who ride two-wheelers that giving way DOES NOT mean sticking to the extreme right-hand-side of the road (almost kissing the divider) and then gesturing to their left, indicating that there is more than enough space for an overtaking maneuver.

Also, could someone tell them that when they approach a crossing, they MUST STOP and let the vehicle pass before proceeding onto the correct side of the road, instead of continuing to ride their two-wheeler onto the extreme wrong side of the road until the vehicle passes, at which point, they switch to the correct side?!

I think the reason for this is the underpass is flooded and hence all the ricks and bikes are coming from the bridge and then taking a U-turn and going towards Ghatkopar. Is that right? I can see only buses and trucks coming from the underpass.

There was no flooding. Buses and trucks were coming at the time when I recorded, otherwise other vehicles were also passing. It is the sheer disregard for any rule that makes people behave like that. Such people get thrilled by breaking rules.

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

These days I witness a traffic gridlock near carmelaram railway crossing. These gridlocks occur due to the impatient maniacs who try to squeeze in their vehicles to the front of the queue and most of these vehicles are driven by so called IT czars, professionals, cabbies, etc.

The first picture depicts the scene as soon as the railway gate is closed and the second picture depicts the scene just before the gate opens. One can imagine the situation after the gates are opened.

Amazing. I wonder if it ever occurred to the guys at the front, but on the wrong side, that their behaviour was the reason they could not go anywhere?
