To be honest, I don't feel you did anything wrong, he was trying to cut in and you didn't let him, he should have known better. Happens to me everyday, unless it's an emergency vehicle I don't let people who break lines cut in, unless they come too close.

Well sir, even i have had incidences like this. It does tend to get on our nerves, but later on thinking about it i feel that the drivers like these will never improve while we are left with a feeling of guilt and wrongdoing. Watched in horror as this merc s class went over the divider while taking a u turn. the poor car. even the bikers at the junction were shocked and started waving their hands.

And this video excerpt is from the city of Trivandrum- one of the few cities in India where I find drivers to be disciplined(and that means very less honking), and less traffic pile-ups.

Hope Rajasree Motors(the Benz dealership in Trivandrum) or the insurer won't fleece them for this.

Is not that "highway" just a 2-lane road (though it is probably a designated NH), to be driving at 80-90 km/h...? Irrespective what the speed of the approach vehicle is. Period. Just do this. It is the most blood curdling malpractice occurring on our roads.

Yes this is more like an unwritten rule. All the cabbies follow this and one had the cheek to explain that the moment you insert a part of your vehicle (direction does not matter, can be forward/reverse), it is upto the oncoming traffic to adjust accordingly.

On a different note, i did see a you tube video whee two guys in a ciaz are touching 180 kms and driving without a seat belt. Unfortunately i do not have the link, but you can search on you tube for "Ciaz top speed" there are several videos where people have touched 180 on a ciaz. The whole lot deserve to be mentioned here, and the one driving without the belt takes the cake

Yes sir, you are right there was ample parking space in front as well as behind the car.

I did leave a post it note on his window mentioning that he is blocking two cars and 'suggested' him to improve his parking skills. The first knee jerk reaction was to deflate his tyres but that would have meant the vehicle would have been stranded, and since this is a by-lane the tow trucks don't frequent it much so it like a catch-22 situation.
