Story of our life here in Mumbai - just worse!

On pretty much every night there are these biker groups who insist on trying stunts at different different locations - marine drive, reclamation on the WEH, etc. being some of their preferred spots.

Cops have absolutely failed to stop these bikers, who should seriously be jailed for endangering other road users, polluting with their modified exhausts, and rash driving.

Not bad driving per se. But assuming that a good driver would also take good care of his steed, this car doesn't seem to be blessed with one.

Found the Swift parked with three wheels on the ground and the left rear wheel hanging in the air.

This reminds me of an anecdoes about what happened to a Team managers car. The team were specifically told to transport the car to either MMSC or Kari and not to drive it on the track.

As a gag, they jacked the car up in a similar fashion and flashed the pics around!

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

This happened yesterday in Chennai. This is the exit gate for an office complex and a chennai transport bus has been parked there obstructing 60-70% of the gate and the driver has gone away. As a result, all the cars were taking a much longer turn into the road and causing a completely avoidable traffic jam.

Such apathy happens only here.

Thanks to Gulam for sharing this video!

What a lack of respect for such a beautiful machine. Horribly, poorly driven:

Does it belong to a celeb? What's with so many cameras around waiting for it to pass?

Such needless chaos :(

Affording the car is one thing. Brains, intelligence, decency, respect? Not for sale. have to be learnt, and can be regardless of wealth.

True. The car is, undeniably, beautiful, but if those idiots think there is anything clever about the show, then they are all as bad as the driver.

Show... Hmmm... Do so many people in Bangalore always just happen to have their camera with them?

Saw another video of the same. The carelessness is appalling. The Bengaluru traffic police should take strict action against the driver and cancel the driving licence with a case for rash driving and endangering fellow motorists, will set a good example to other owners of exotics who pull similar stunts on the road.

The Chennai traffic cops did the same a while back by impounding close to 10 exotics that used to be ripped way above legal speed limits on ECR. This has definitely had an impact on the way these beauties are driven nowadays. The BTP should do the same.

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

I can understand people taking a second/third/fourth look at the car.

Why on earth do they want to take pictures of it? To post it on Facebook with a caption, " I took this picture of somebody's car on the road??

Re: Pics: Accidents in India

Not an accident exactly but one waiting to happen. Distracted driving (read driver was on a call). The rear dashcam captured this plus I saw it happening in the IRVM.

Can't imagine "What if the speed was higher?! + "what if the car did cross the divider and land on the other side?!"

Just look at one of the kids running into the camera view after clicking a few snaps. He just looks so overjoyed and i doubt it's because of the car alone.

People were waiting in multiple places with cameras. Even in middle of junctions!

When such ego boosters are all around, it just gives way to showing off which in turn poses a risk for everyone :(
