A video circulating on social media showed drivers getting out of their cars and running away from a speeding truck that rammed into the vehicles in dense fog on Tuesday morning. Al Arabiya English could not the verify the authenticity of the video.

Re: Pics: Accidents in India

The Volvo driver probably fell asleep at wheel, and entered the lane of an oncoming 40 ton Scania truck filled with gravel.

Video shows Volvo driver and passengers escape without a scratch.

Split second error can cause a lot of damage. The reason could be cell phone, Navigation, distracting co-passenger or drowsy driver. Volvo did well and I hope the truck driver was ok too, no details about that.

Wow. That was nasty. Completely the fault of Volvo driver. He was lucky it was more a side on impact from the truck and not completely head on which reduced the damage to the car otherwise he might not have survived. Also I doubt the speed was 112kmph. It felt more like 80kmph. This accident shows how even a split second divert of attention can be disastrous.

Not clear from the video. Did the air bags launch?
No curtain airbags launched. But, dashboard ones should have launched. Isn't it?

It also highlights the importance of keeping safe distance from the vehicle in the front; especially on highways. The car recording the accident almost touched the Volvo stopping after the crash.

We can see 70kmph speed limit sign in the video. So, the speed is likely to be around that.

Not exactly an accident, but a near accident. Received it on whatsapp - apparently there is a popular adventure sports in Saudi Arabia wherein people rush to a valley during rains. As the water streams start gushing through the valley, people speed away from the valley. Is it exciting? Looks very much so . But not exactly worth the risk.

Driver falls asleep, sends BMW airborne into tunnel - Slovakia

Driver falls asleep, sends BMW airborne into tunnel - Slovakia

A driver briefly fell asleep and lost control of his vehicle, launching it into a barrel roll before landing in a tunnel.

Video released by Slovakian police shows the BMW launching off a barrier and hitting the top of the Borik tunnel before landing inside it.

The driver, 44, survived the crash and suffered only minor injuries, local police said in a Facebook post.

He was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol but instead “suffered a microsleep” and lost control of the vehicle early Thursday morning, David Puchovsky, a police spokesman, told Global News.

Surprised to see it shot up in the air just like that, almost seemed like a stunt!

But glad to see the driver came out rather unharmed.
