I was referring to the safety aspect in the case of a head-on collision. All other parameters being equal, is it safer to be front facing or back facing?

Btw, how can someone sit back facing that too comfortably?
Came across an interesting little product that might make wearing seat belts safer for pregnant women.
NOTE: It
IS recommended that pregnant women wear seat belts (and position the lap belt as low as possible - across the hips, rather than across the stomach). This device apparently makes it even safer.
Here you can see the pregnant woman sits on an additional pad, and the lap-belt is held down by a hook on that pad, preventing the belt from going across the stomach:
