Hi may i kindly know where did you source it. Is it delivered in India. Thank you

You can buy this in India:

Accidents : Vehicles catching Fire in India-1351933871_171.jpg

This is multipurpose all-in-one tool with air pressure gauge built in.

Available at most of the Bridgestone tyre/accessory stores.

Also can be bought from their online store : http://www.securide.in/more.php?pid=12

Unfortunately Life Hammer isn't sold in India. I had sourced it from US and had it carried to India, in person.

Life Hammer is a quality product and is made in the Netherlands. Its manufacturing quality is good and being manufactured in the First World, it can be construed to be reliable (I hope!). It generally has good reviews, so I purchased it.

There are several clones available in India. You can also search on Ebay India website, you'll find many clones on sale. I can't vouch for their reliability though.

Beware that this tool (like Airbags) HAS TO work the very first time (and perhaps the only time) it is pulled in an emergency. It simply shouldn't fail. If the luck is running bad, one might need it soon, or maybe sometime far in the future, or perhaps never.

So, the tool should be robust. The hammer shouldn't rust, the blade should stand the test of time and plastic grip shouldn't deteriorate with time.

I've seen emergency hammers in few mini buses, bracketed to the rear emergency escape window frames, and they have rust all over them in the monsoon season.

I'd go for something reliable and not skimp on the cost, if I had the choice to choose between few models.

Mercedes Benz E Class charred in Gurgaon.

Just saw this Mercedes C class charred outside DLF Mega Mall, Gurgaon. There was an official Mercedes vehicle and engineers inspecting the scene . This happened right outside the block where I stay. Apparently the car was owned by one of the persons staying in the same block, very close to where this happened.
Hopefully, there were no casualties reported, when asked.

Attaching a couple of pictures, sorry for the bad quality , clicked it from inside the car.

re: Mercedes Benz E Class charred in Gurgaon.

Hi em17, going by the size and tail lamps housing, this car seems to be E class not C class as mentioned by you. I am editing the thread title to reflect the same. Thanks

Saw a Versa/Eco catch fire before a week at Govandi. Don't know what or how, but it was engulfed like a volcano from all the sides. A water tanker was passing by and was stopped to put the flames out.

Read this disturbing news early morning.

"NEW DELHI: A 38-year-old businessman was charred to death inside his car, a Toyota Etios, when it suddenly burst into flames seconds after stopping at a traffic signal on the outer Ring Road in west Delhi on Wednesday night"

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/c...w/34847473.cms

Wonder is any car is Safe.

Disturbing! At the hour of need, all the fail safe systems seem to fail! Best to keep a spanner under your seat for times like these.

Audi Q7 catches fire, car next to it gutted.

A youth had a narrow escape on Monday afternoon when his parked Audi Q7 caught fire suddenly and even gutted a Maruti 800 parked next to it. The incident was reported around 1.30pm in Jamrudpur area of southeast Delhi. No casualties were reported in the fire
Quote:
Amod, son of Badarpur's ex MLA Veer Singh, had gone to a gym in the area in his Audi and parked it next to a skincare institute in the vicinity, police said. A couple of minutes after he went in, eyewitnesses saw smoke emanating from the engine of the Audi and raised an alarm
Police station is inquiring into the incident to ascertain the cause of fire and rule out any sabotage. Prima facie, cops said, they suspect a short circuit but are waiting for forensic reports.

Maybe you are right. But I googled life hammer and came up with this http://www.junglee.com/LifeHammer-Or.../dp/B000BN3A4Y . Is it the original Life Hammer?

The Bridgestone product too looks rugged and reliable, (and has the backing of Bridgestone behind it, though it has the pointy hammer on to only one side).

Some more research brought me to this offering from Victorinox http://www.amazon.co.uk/Victorinox-0.../dp/B000NHZW6M

and this one from Leathermen - both legendary specialised tool makers in their own rights...https://www.leatherman.com/831647.html

All said & done, in the end , it has to be a reliable and proven product - can't have it failing when you need it the most.

Cheers !
