Bangalore Thiruvanamalai best route

Can forum members advice best route from Bangalore to Thiuvanamalai considering the terrible roads near chengam.

Bangalore-Hosur-Krishnagiri-Vaniyambadi-Vellore-Kannamnaglam-Tiruvannamalai.

Much longer, but equally fast considering how bad roads are on NH66 between Krishnagiri & T'Malai

hvkumar, there is another route through Dharmapuri to Tiruvannamalai. It is a state highway. Do you have any information from your sources on how good (or bad) this road is?

But that would mean going further south of Krishnagiri. I would not go in interior roads in Dharmapuri district region, road networks have been never great in the interior parts. But honestly, I have no update on the road from Dharmapuri to T'Malai.

A good variant is taking right immediately after Pallikonda toll gate, reach Golden Temple gate, and then turn right towards Arani/Polur. According to some enquiry with local cab drivers near Golden temple, this is in a decent condition till T.V.Malai and expectedly so considering Tirupati->Vellore->T.V.Malai is a hot pilgrim circuit too..

About the Dharmapuri-Tiruvannamalai stretch:

As I mentioned some time back:

Since thats the same SH, which one has to take for Sathanur dam, I found that side of the SH to be very good. Not sure how the Dharmapuri-Harur stretch is.
