Some information needed regarding the safaris at Bandipur and Nagarahole/Kabini. I've been to these places numerous times, but always through private resorts/operators.

I'm seeking this information on behalf of a relative : they're planning to drive to Bandipur and Nagarahole. But are using Mysore as their base, so they're planning to go the Forest Dept/Govt run safaris at both places.

Please provide/help point me to the right links to get the following information for the Forest Dept run Safari Trips for both Nagarahole and Bandipur.

1. Timings
2. Duration
3. Cost
4. Any disadvantage of taking the govt run safaris ( they're doing it on a week day so shouldn't be a problem )

Also, how does one take the boat safari at Nagarahole/Kabini, if not going through a private operator ? Are there private operators/resorts, that you can use only for the safaris ?
