I will be starting from the noida-greater noida expressway. Sometime between 3 and 5.

Also, the return via EPE?
Take EPE- its empty, has 120 kph limit. just see if there is an exit close to where you are in NOIDA since exits are typically 2 km apart.

Also, from Murthal to Ambala, do not cross 90KPH. all regulars on that route will be doing 90, and first timers will be speeding. police checks are a constant on this route and they are not sparing anyone. I am a regular on this road (as in twice or thrice a month, every month)

Yes. Ive taken the WPE from Gurgaon at 4 Am many times. No worries. Only issue is street lights so keep dipping your headlights and every time you come up on a small bridge, reduce your speed since the road surface is uneven on each one of them so 120 KPH may be dangerous.

Thanks guys. It was definitely much better when I went from greater Noida onto the epe. In the return journey, I took the ghaziabad exit, to my total regret. Anyone in Noida, definitely make the commute to the beginning of the epe. Longer, but definitely much less stressful.
Also got the puc for the Tucson done in zirakpur and got it for 6 months!

Hi Guys,

Is there any WhatsApp group for car pooling on the Gurgaon - Chandigarh route?
Please consider adding me, would help save some of the toll-tax.

Delhi to Chandigarh is open, no epass needed AFAIK. Please see this blog that seems to be quite upto date. If in doubt check with state helpline numbers before you travel. https://blog.savaari.com/covid-travel-pass/

re: Delhi - Chandigarh : Route Queries

Need inputs on traveling between Chandigarh and Delhi right now. Heard that border is sealed due to the farmer agitation. Mom is landing in Delhi on 13th from US and cousin was going to pick her up from Chandigarh and go back.

Looks like she may have to take a flight from Delhi itself and avoid road. Anyone with latest information?

The main GT road is indeed closed but there are alternate roads that google suggests. I have not traveled on those and don’t know how wide are those roads. Depending on the rush and time of day it can be a problem. Suggest to take Western expressway instead and come via panchgaon- Manesar - Gurgaon. Additional 60-80 Kms though.

Flight is a better option, if she can’t travel the same day due to timings, book a hotel for her in Aerocity instead. Do go through the thread on COVID time air travel. She will need a negative COVID report at origin or have to get tests done on arrival.

re: Delhi - Chandigarh : Route Queries

Hi,

I am going to Chandigarh from Delhi this weekend. What will be the best route to take, considering I stay in West Delhi (Janakpuri). What all routes are open due to the Farmer's protest?

Thanks in advance!

I am travelling to Chandigarh from Agra tomorrow. In the light of Farmer's protest, what is the best advisable route?

Google shows lot of red signs around Sonipat...

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it can be a problem via GT road. Try this, when expressway ends, use directions towards Pilkhua/ Hapur- Merrut. From Merrut, you can continue to Muzzafarngar (bypass) - Saharanpur (Bypass) to Chandigarh.

Google shows a different route to Merrut, but stick with the new highway via Hapur. I believe operational. If in doubt, consult locals.
