Bhopal to Guwahati in an Innova

Hi guys,

I am planning on driving down from Satpura National Park which is between Bhopal and Jabalpur to Guwahati in August. I was wondering if any of you would have information on the road conditions in any of the stretches mentioned below. Also, if you know of any good places where I can stay the night with my dog, please do let me know.

My planned route:
Day 1: Satpura-Jabalpur-Katni-Setna-Allahabad-Varanasi
Day 2: Varanasi-Patna-Begusarai-Gosai Gaon-Guwahati (I think from Patna its NH 31 all the way)

Can the 2nd stretch be done in 1 day if we leave early in the morning? The other option is as follows:

Day 1: Satpura-Jabalpur-Panna
Day 2: Panna National Park-Patna
Day 3: Patna-Guwahati

Have sometime to think about it so please let me know your views on the same. Also how safe is it to drive through Bihar at night?
