My friend had finally taken the Mumbai--Pune--Nagar--Aurangabad--Nanded route and reported the part till Aurangabad to be in excellent condition. Aurangabad to Nanded was a mixed bag. I am most likely (50% chance) driving Mumbai to Nanded tomorrow and would be sticking to Aurangabad route. Will get back here and post latest updates.

I'm planning to make a Pune-Nanded trip this 15th (in case I don't get tatkal train tickets). Google maps suggests the following route:

Pune-Ahmednagar-Pathardi-Majalgaon-Parbhani-Nanded

Last time I took this route, it was pretty bad.
Can someone please let me know the road conditions recently, especially after the rains? Also, I'd love to know if there's any alternate route with better roads.
