Hi,

I have a trip coming up in 1st week of November from Bangalore-Delhi-Lucknow-Banaras-Raipur-Hyderabad.Wife and I will be travelling (vehicle Civic AT),Am the lone driver.

We are planning to leave Bangalore on 31 st October, Visit Jaipur,Delhi,Lucknow and Banaras.Then spend time in Raipur during Diwali week from 11th November.

Day 1 31st Oct Leave Bangalore by 5 AM Reach Vapi by 3 AM -Rest (Done this stretch before in June this year)
Day 2 1st Nov Leave Vapi by 1 PM Reach Jaipur by Night -Night Halt. (Vapi Jaipur Distance 785 Km)
Day 3 2nd Nov Jaipur Tour Leave Jaipur in the Night.Reach Delhi by Morning (Jaipur Delhi distance 265 Kms)
3 Nov Day 4 In Delhi
4 Nov Day 5 In Delhi
5 Nov Day 6 Leave for Lucknow at 5 AM (Delhi - Lucknow Distance 522 Kms 12 Hours)
6 Nov Day 7 Spend 1 day in Lucknow
7 Nov Day 8 Leave for Banaras at 5 AM (Lucknow-Banaras 311 Kms 7 Hours)
8 Nov Day 9 Spend 1 day in Banaras
9 Nov Day 10 Leave for Bhilai at 5 AM (Banaras - Raipur 725 kms) Reach Bhilai latest by 12 AM
10 Nov Day 11 In Raipur
11 Nov Day 12 In Raipur
12 Nov Day 13 In Raipur
13 Nov Day 14 In Raipur (May be a trip to Amarkantak)
14 Nov Day 15 In Raipur
15 Nov Day 16 Leave for Bangalore at 5 AM.Reach Hyderabad by Night latest by 12 AM
16 Nov Day 17 Spend a day in Hyderabad
17 Nov (Sat)Day 18 Leave for Bangalore early morning.Reach Bangalore by Evening.
18 Nov (Sun) Rest
19 Nov (Mon) Back to work.

Would like to have your suggestions on:

1) Trip schedule - Whether it is doable comfortably?
2) Best Route options for Delhi-Lucknow, Lucknow-Banaras, Banaras- Raipur (I have not done these stretches before)
3) Road conditions - What are the road conditions in Bangalore-Vapi-jaipur-Delhi, Delhi-Lucknow, Lucknow-Banaras, Banaras- Raipur,Raipur-Hyderabad,Hyderabad-Bangalore stretches post monsoon?
3) Good budget hotels in Jaipur/Varanasi for Night halt.
4) Fog/any other deterrents which might slow down or make Night/Early morning driving difficult.
5) Safety issues -(Like Theft)
6) Good Must-Try vegeterian eating places in the places of visit and enroute.
7) Any other interesting places (Historical/Temples/Nature) of Visit enroute.

Vapi-AMD 6hrs (380kms) / AMD-Udaipur(260kms) 4-5hrs / Udaipur-Jaipur(420kms) 7hrs

Remember to go through Ankleshwar town taking the Golden Bridge.Narmada bridge on NH8 would be terrible jammed in all possibilities.Take the ring road at Ahmedabad.Take the Baroda Expressway to Ahmedabad and not the NH8 to Ahmedabad.

Remember to take the NH76-NH79 from Udaipur and not the NH8.NH8 has ghat sections and is two laned while the NH76 is 4 laned and is part of the GQ.From Udaipur bypass on NH8,follow directions for Udp airport and that would take you onto the 4 laned NH76(via Chittor-Bhilwara-Kishengarh-Jaipur)

Remember to retain toll receipt on GVK expressway between Kishangarh and Jaipur as you need to show it at the second toll booth on the eway.

6laning in progress,so progress would be very slow,budget for a 6hour drive in case you get caught in jams.

Raipur Hyd is just a 12-13 hour drive with a large majority on 4 laned roads.Major bad sections are between Hinghanghat & AP-MH Border(Pandharkawda) on NH7.Raipur-Nagpur 4-5hrs and Nagpur-Hyd is a 8hr drive.

This is just a 8hr drive at your slowest best,if you leave early morning as planned by you,you would be in Bangalore for lunch.

IMO,Nov would be too early for fog to set in.
