Re: Car Photoshoot - Recommended location around Bangalore?

My vote will go to NICE road, Hessarghatta. For broken roads well, in Bangalore you dont have to look around much.
For sunrise point you can go to Devarayanadurga.

Re: Car Photoshoot - Recommended location around Bangalore?

Every time I pass through Ramnagara on Bangalore-mysore road the location of SHOLAY shoot (Gabbar singh's den), I feel it is a good location for an SUV shoot.

I am not even sure if an SUV could be taken near to the rocks there. Just a thought.

Yes, SUV or any other vehicle can be taken near the rocks. However the location is much different from what was seen in Sholay. There is a small temple and pond on top of the hill, which can be accessed via a flight of steps only though.

If you want grassy backgrounds with mountains and water, head to the following locations:

- Manchanbele Dam : ~40 km, near Big Banyan tree, off Mysore road

- Kanva reservoir : ~60 km, after Ramanagaram, off Mysore road (one of my favourite locations - zero disturbance from any people, very easy approach road, very peaceful and deserted yet safe). Check my ownership review thread - all the review pictures were taken there
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...n-leather.html

- Krishnagiri dam : ~110 km, after Krishnagiri, off NH 7 towards Salem where you break off and turn right

- Thondanur lake : ~100 km, off Pandavapura, Mysore road

If you want pure grasslands and open areas, head to Hesaraghatta like others have suggested.

If you want racetrack backdrop with tyre walls, chicanes and hairpins, go to Speedway go-karting track and request the owner for a photoshoot. If there are no other customers there, he might allow you on track for a quick photoshoot.

Hills and/or twisties in the background:

- Devarayanadurga : ~60 km, near Dobbaspete, off Tumkur road)

- Nandi hills : ~70 km, near BIAL airport. I personally don't like this because you will almost always end up with some plastic garbage in the frame and maybe even other tourists. It is very crowded

- Yelagiri hills : ~150 km from Bangalore, on Bangalore-Chennai highway.

Hills with dense vegetation / forest type of backdrop:

- B R hills : ~180 km, near Chamarajnagar, accessible through NH 209 Kanakapura road -> Kollegal.

- Nagarhole : ~220 km, accessible through Coorg route

- Bandipur : ~200 km, accessible through Bangalore -> Mysore -> Gundlupet -> Bandipur.

For hills with waterfalls or coffee estates in the backdrop, head to Chikmagalur or Sakleshpur or Madikeri. For tea estate backdrop, closest is Ooty/Coonoor and some parts of Chikmagalur.

Re: Car Photoshoot - Recommended location around Bangalore?

Just drive to Anandhadhama Resort on the banks of river Cauvery. I am sure you will come back tell us about tons of "shootable" spots. Also, if the photos are being heavily edited, then whats the point of going to these locations? Just asking. I am no photographer.

For shots against Sunrise/Sunset: NICE Road & Electronic City express way should be perfect.

For shots in a hilly area Ramohalli (Sholay Hills) & Nandi Hills are pretty good.

And for a shot under long shady road, Nanda theatre road (Jayanagar) is also worth considering.

Here is a pic.
Nice. Why dont you try doing some post-editing on this pic & try out different settings. Try playing with lighting.

Also, in my opinion, whenever you click on a sandy surface, it is best to wipe out the tyre tracks after you park the car. The track-less sand surface would then compliment the vehicle better.

Re: Car Photoshoot - Recommended location around Bangalore?

My pick goes to Manchanabele Reservoir, off mysore road . It's an amazing place for photoshoot and a picnic. Take photos during sunset, especially when the sun is behind the clouds.

These are photos of my Fabia I sold recently. The photos are NOT processed. Looking forward to shoot the new italian beauty (Tjet) soon
