Fellow bhpians,

I am quite enthralled to read your articles about travelling ladakh leh and all the mountain roads in the vicinity.

I am also in the initial stages for planning a trip to leh, which I plan to do in my Linea emotion, kindly advise whether it would be possible to make this trip in the linea.

Baleno a Maruti. You are thinking of Bolero.

Ladakh road trip

I am planning a Ladakh road trip. We would love to go self driving but also want to some details about hired car as well.

My qyueries are...
1. is october a good time to cross rothangla & jojila? hoping that other passes receive less moisture and will remain open.
2. how many persons are allowed in a hired / self driven car? I have heard 5 pax at most! is that true?
3. does Tso moriri and pangong Tso need permit? will the permits have to be done in Leh or can be done from Delhi/ Kolkata?
4. is self driven cars allowed in pangong, Tso-moriri and nubra velley (past Khardungla)?

looking forward to your answers...
Babu
