** From Hoshiarpur to Dasuya - there are 2 routes - one via Tanda one via Hariana , Tanda cut is about 2-3 Km before , this route will be little longer so take next one.

Also, any idea about road condition from Dalhousie to Dharamshala ?
I can see couple of options in maps - both 117kms.
Dalhousie > Nurpur > Dramman > Dharamshala
OR
Dalhousie > Patka > Sinhuta > Dharamshala

This is the one you should prefer , just checked with known based at Dharmshala. Road conditions are good.

I did a non stop trip - no stoppages in between. Route is excellent - I did faced a major jam when entering hills/on Toll booth(stupid drivers overtaking on single lane both sides, causing a jam) - but maybe it would be different when you plan.

I am planning to drive down to Dalhousie from Gurgaon with my friends (4 of us in total) in my new Vitara Brezza ZDi+ on 14 April 2017. I propose to leave home at about 3-4 AM. Request you to kindly share any latest update on the best route to follow. Thanks in advance!

Panipat - Karnal - Ludhiana - Jalandhar - Pathankot - Dalhousie, I took this route few days back(except the Jalandhar - Pathankot stretch as I had to cover Amristar) and it is good all throughout.

I did Dalhousie and Khajjiar in the 14th April long weekend in my Brezza ZDi+ with my friends and took the suggested route via Ludhiana Jalandhar and Pathankot. The roads were good all throughout. While going from Gurgaon it took a total of 12 hours for 594 kms whereas while returning it took 10.5 hours. Roads were good all throughout except for Dalhousie- Khajjiar which also was manageable with the big tyres of Brezza. Though it was a short trip and we covered 1250 kms in 3 days but the journey was comfortable all throughout. Even my other 3 friends who occupied the rear seat in rotation with me behind the wheels for the entire journey were comfortable with the suspension. Got an overall mileage of 20 km/ltr while going up to Pathankot with AC and speed within 110 km/hr and 17.5 km/ltr while returning with 25% on hilly roads and speed around 130 km/hr.
