Hi,

Sorry to be jumping in to this thread, but its the closest parallel to our situation, so here goes :)

Our US trip (DS160 etc done, appointments almost booked) is now canceled due to my driving license woes. The wife is insistent on traveling at that period and must DIVE as well. so our plan currently stands - 9 days in Greece. Need to figure out a second (or third) destination for six days.

- nature / water bodies to see
- zoo
- children park
- Snow can work provided not much walking is required

Not eastern europe (CZ/HU/PO) - we have been there.
Not france - the wife visits there for work.
Current thought is Austria (or Switzerland). Does it have enough for six days?

Thanks in advance to all replies!

PS: fine69/mods - If there's no concern about thread clutter or fine isnt fine with my posts ;) - pls hive this thread off.
PPS: If there's specific posts which address my questions (fine has a slightly different need - we are husband/wife with 4 yo son and both grandmothers who can't walk too much) please point me there.

Been to Croatia? Its got enough of nature, water bodies, in fact one of the world's best national park (Plitvice) with water bodies and greenery.

Bosnia & Herzegovina and Croatia almost made it to our itinerary had it not been a car trip for us. Of course the stories of unrest in Bosnia & Herzegovina is something that I don't have details around.

Switzerland would most definitely have enough for 6 days. In fact even an Indian traveller would have enough for an entire month!
Source - my last 2 month's of research on Switzerland.

This might be a problem for a lot of places!

Do you mean "dive" or "drive"?

My suggestion would be Norway or Scotland (if they are not too out of the way). Only problem is Scotland requires another visa process.

There is a LOT that can be done in Switzerland and Austria and there is no end to the number of water bodies you can see. We have done a 14 day holiday just between these 2 countries, and there were a lot of places that we didn't have time to visit. Don't know about zoo though...
