Bangalore to Hyderabad

BHP ians,

I am planning to visit Hyderabad around christmas. I am contemplating a drive in my Fiesta 1.6 .

1. How good are the roads? specifically what are the bad stretches
2. Is it best to start early in the morning from Bangalore?
3. What are the traffic hotspots ( and ways to get around if any)
4. bets places to have breakfast, lucnh, refreshments etc
5. Good filling stations

Your valuable suggestions/experiences welcome

80% of the roads to Blore and Hyd are like a knife running through cheese. Average speeds of 80KMPH and Top Speed of 155KMPH. I did this trip several times including a few times on bike.

If you maintain as above, you can easily cover this distance in 9.5 to 10 Hours. Since your doing it for first time, suggest you start early in the morning so you can reach Hyd early evening.

I did a Bangalore-Nagpur about 2 years back(via Hyd).
1. Roads : No bad roads. Narrow twisty busy yes, bot not bad. Leave by 11am. At night the heavy truck traffic and volvo's will make life miserable with their high beams and rash driving
2. Yes it is. Earlier the best. But not before 5:30am, unless you are fond of truck traffic
3. Bangalore is a hotspot. Once you are in AP you are good
4 and 5. Reliance A1 Plazas and pumps are a good bet. dont worry about food, plenty of nice places on the way.
