Oh! So you bought the TomTom as soon as it was launched in India. Having been a beta tester for them, I can say their routing isnt the best for India yet so you shouldnt have completely relied on them

They are atleast 3-4 years behind in terms of details compared to MMI despite I am suspecting both buying data from same source

I have done Hyderabad - Bangalore - Mysore - Coorg in May 2011. The drive from Bangalore - Mysore and Mysore to Coorg was great. This being winter, it should be even better. Enjoy the drive.

Just drove into Goa from Hyderabad, today. Left Kompally at 4:45 am and reached Margao at 5:45 pm. Route was Hyd-Humnabad-Gulbarga-Bijapur-Kolhar-Belgaum-Chorla- Margao.
85℅ of the route consisted of good to excellent roads. Bijapur bypass was quite bad and some stretches around Gulbarga were bad.
Route was a mixture of NH and SH.

Update Hyderabad to Goa last weekend trip.

Hyderabad to Gulbarga.
Took the ORR and upto
Humnabad 4 lane with 2 tolls.
Humnabad to Gulbarga occasional rough patches. Aurad village 4 speed breakers.

Gulbarga to Jewargi

Good roads through out.
Jewargi bypass yet to be opened.

Jewargi To Vijaypura.
Excellent roads throughout.
Need to be careful with the speed breakers at entry point of the villages.

Vijaypura to Bagalkote.

Vijaypura has a bypass.
The entry road flyover towards Bagalkote is under construction

This stretch is almost 80 percent good roads throughout.
Minor culverts and a flyover over a village is still pending.

Bagalkote to Belgaum.

In fact this road goes upto Anadinni and crossover to Belgaum highway. Excellent roads throughout need to be careful about the speed breakers nearing villages.

Belgaum to Goa.

Chorla ghat is in pristine condition.
Heavy traffic during the day.
While going traveled early morning not much traffic returns was in the afternoon so traffic was more and state transport buses overtaking is pretty tough.

Hope this helps
