Visited Goa with friends and family in the first week of April. A total of 6 adults + 5 kids aged 04 to 16. Stayed at the Wooden Chalet on the (Mondovi) River Banks. Booked via TripAdvisor.

https://www.tripadvisor.in/VacationR...trict_Goa.html

Found the villa and the location so awesome, we unanimously decided not to venture out and spent an entire just doing gossiping, cooking and some fishing. The villa was that big the kids played hide n seek whole day.

Edit: Sorry for the poor picture quality. I have DSLR pics of the villa, but those contain people too :(

Stayed at La Calypso, Baga for 3 Nights/4 days in the last week of April. Paid 7,000/- per night for their Beach Villa inclusive of breakfast.

The villas are located some 200-300 meters away from the main reception building. They have their own cabs to drop/pick-up customers from/to the Beach Villa. The villas are located on the Baga beach, right next to Arudra's cottages.

They have their own shack (La Shack) and a casino too, pathetic customer service at both the places, the reception guys are very helpful though.

Edit: They had no problems with me parking my self drive rental in their parking for 2 nights.

Planning to visit Goa for our wedding anniversary later this august with our 1.5 year old kid who loves water.

Looking for a calm, peaceful beach resort with a clean, uncrowded beach anywhere in Goa.

A friend suggested Caravala Beach Resort and it looks promising (our budget is 5-7K per night). We wont be traveling outside the resort for any sightseeing.

Any suggestions on a toddler friendly uncrowded beach resort or is Caravala good enough to go ahead and book?

Holiday Inn should be similarly priced as well. It has Fisherman's Cove around the corner (literally) should you want to head outside for a meal. Caravela and Holiday Inn are similar for the most part and you can't go wrong with either for a laid back relaxed holiday.

Check Zuri WhiteSands , August is typically off-season and when I just checked the price is around 6.8k/Night. This is on the beach, has lots of activities in-house and great food.

Query Post :

3 of my friends and I, are planning a trip to Goa, during mid-November from Kolkata.

Would like to know the following :

1. Which areas are suitable for decent beach-facing hotels? I don't think we'd mind loud neighborhoods. Any particular hotel suggestions? (budget friendly only)

2. Zoomcar isn't available in Goa. Any other reputed self-drive vehicles agencies which can be picked up from the airport itself?

Link

Edit : Seems like some issue with Google map link. You can also try this Google plus code - GQC8+32 Candolim, Goa

2. I don't think there are any self drvie options which you can pick from airport. However you may have to negotiate with any dealer if they ready to drop vehicle at airport for you. There were few suggested rentals mentioned on forum itself. Haven't used any, hence not commenting.

I would appreciate any recommendations for hotels in South Goa. The criteria is that they should be mid range hotels (2,500 - 5,000) and should be close to any of the popular beaches like Palolem,Agonda,Varca,Benaulim etc. Presence of ample parking space in the hotel and restaurants nearby would be a plus.

Look up AirBnB if you are ok with that format. They have multiple listings for very nice township apartments less than 50 meters from the Benaulim beach. The township has restaurant, swimming pool, security etc. Not a hotel though.

Stayed at Rama Resorts, Agonda last year.

Details here (Planning for Goa, where to stay?) in earlier post, would suggest you also search this thread for other recommendations from earlier posts.

The villa looks great and so does the location.

Can you please let me know where did you go fishing in Goa?

I stayed for 5 nights in January at Palm Grove Cottages, Benaulim. It was lovely, and a 3 minute drive from the closest beach. That was benaulim, I think. Not of lot of Indians either at the beach or in the restaurants near it. The place itself had a restaurant, and it was quite decent. The final cost of stay was about 22K.
I rented out a scooter for 250 bucks a day, and had enjoyable and peaceful rides to all the beaches and restaurants nearby. No bad roads or any traffic.

You can check Treebo Colva, we had stayed there in Jan end and found it descent. Not a hi end hotel, however for that price it was worth it.

Clean rooms and surrounding. Parking, I won't call as ample but was sufficient to park some 13 cars or so.
It's next to beach, has a good restaurant too.

We did our fishing ABC there in the villa itself. The rear courtyard of the villa is adjacent to river and some fishing gear is available. You can buy additional gear for hardcore fishing, details of which are available with the housekeeper.
