If you ask me, its a place where you can dump your luggage for the cheapest possible price. When you get back to your hotel room completely smashed (in my way) you don't care whether it has an airconditioner or a jacuzzi. Only problem is for the time you get up next morning till the time you leave for another round of hangover curing rum and this place serves the purpose well. Rest of the time is spent at 9 bar, Zanzibar, Hill top, etc so I find it worthless to spend stupid money on expensive accommodation.

Btw, did you seriously expect this small setup with 6 rooms and no first floor to be a "resort"? Its only in the name.

Rs. 800/- per day for an Alto. I had hired one and enjoyed it thoroughly. Somewhere around Baga.

Could try for one for 500-600. But you will have to pick it up in panjim.

No it doesnt include petrol. When we went to Goa first time in 2004 we hired bikes. We were charged 250, 300 etc but we pour our own petrol.

Abhi

Saw this message late. I hired a white zen with alloys and wide body tires. Looked great from outside but the car was ok to drive. Anyways, had a bad experience so i reckon will hire a bike from next time onwards

IMHO a hotel in Goa is useful only for dumping your luggage, sleeping and using the loo. As long as that purpose is satisfied with a INR 500-INR 1500 per night room, I am happy.

My suggestion would be to try Cavala/Ronil at Baga for a resorty feel. Or Martin/Miranda for a house/family kind of feel.

I had hired 1 zen and a pulsar. The car was ok but the bike was in a bad condition. Took it from panjim from a guy called joe. The only problem was the indicator was broken somewhere while we had parked as i remember not hitting anything throughout though i had avoided falling into a field after we lost our way while driving at 2 in the night.
Regarding stay we stayed on th route from calangute to panjim in a house kindof place. It was near the Hotel Golden eye. We got rooms for 700 per day tariff. Ok place for crashing. Only problem was couldnt make much noise as too many uncles who wanted to silence us all the time.
