You mean car details? Whichever hotel you stay, they easily arrange either a car or a bike for you. Goa is full of these type of services. Even while walking on road, people approach you for to rent a bike or a car

Hi, reviving this old thread.
Plan to visit Goa in the first week of October(Gandhi Jayanti Weekend).
The problem is that I found some smashing deals which end on 30th september.
Apparently from 1st October, season starts!
The budget is max 2500/night for 3 nights, or if its an all inclusive package(BF, Dinner and hopefully some drinks too) around 3000/night should do.
I went through this thread and found
Bambolim Beach Resort ~~ to be a good option. Has anyone stayed there? I could not find their first week october rates though.

Since its not really season, is it a good idea to land in Goa without reservation? But with long weekend looming I am worried that all good places will be taken.

I looked up the GTDC properties too, but the problem is that most reviews about those are horrendous. Bad smelly rooms, and poor service.

Our requirements for the resort are
1. should be on the beach
2. Swimming pool(not 2ftx2ft but decent pool) is a bonus
3. Clean rooms
4. Good beach, good crowd. Strong aversion to overcrowded beaches like the Madras and Calicut beach

any tips please

We stayed at the Calangute Beach resort of GTDC twice - wasn't that bad for those prices; they had a few cottages too IIRC? And bang on the beach with a lot of good beach eateries in the vicinity

GTDC (or was it MTDC?) resort at Calangute is decent and good prices too. However, its almost always full, so book in advance.

I spoke to Bambolim Beach Resort ~~ and they are willing to give me monsoon prices till 15th october. That works out to 9999 for AP(Breakfast and Dinner) for sea facing room)
Sea facing room is 2400/night if I opt for room only

Is that a good resort?

Goa Tourism. You are absolutely correct about them being almost always full up though. I wrote to them months in advance both times - second time around we had to settle for a room in their main block as the cottages were full up.

Search is still on. Found a few resorts within budget, called them up and found they open only in first week of November!
We have narrowed down our criteria
1. Resort must be on beach < 1500/night per room, on any beach in South Goa like Palolem, Patnem etc.,

Nope found a few resorts on the net.
Most of them offer 1500/night since its off season.
But I have no idea about how good or bad are those resorts apart from online reviews.
Bhakti Kutir seems to be interesting option, lets see!

Thanks, can you please share those details, including Bhakti Kutir? I thought off season ends in September, am I right?
Since I'm driving, the place will need a car park too.
