Hi all!

The proper route from Nelliyampathy to Parambikulam is through Kollengode, Topslip - a 100 KM travel -

But there is a forest route where you need to take permission, rent a 4x4 - or take your 4x4 (Thar/ Gypsy/ Gurkha, not softroaders!) and a forest guide will accompany you. This is not in maps -

My question - have anyone done this route, how long is it, how much time does it take, what is your experience?

Hope it doesn't pass through the thick forest with wildlife. It would be better if anyone who has traveled this route can shed light on this.

There are some YouTube videos that talk about this route. A friend (from Palakkad) has enquired and has confirmation about the forest guide accompanying part too.

We plan to do this in a Wrangler and a Thar once the monsoons become manageable - and that's why wanted to see if anyone's done this in recent times.
